Toni Of Northampton

Great to see our own Toni Silva getting a shot at playing for Northampton to gain some much needed league experience, should toughen him up a bit and help him progress.

He made his debut last night as a 74th minute sub and made an immediate impact by assisting Luke Gutteridge's goal which gave the cobblers a 1-0 win over AFC Wimbledon.

He's really improved over the last few months as well. Loan should be good for him.

How long is the loan for?

28 day loan apparently.

28 days to start with, but likely to be extended I reckon.

Rafa was such a good manager for us. Really hope he comes back.

It's great seeing these players get some time out on the pitch, however over the last few years these players have been out on loan....
Sturridge, Welbeck, Wilshere ...they all went to prem teams for their experience, i thought it would of made good sense for Pacheco to go to Norwich this season too but it didn't happen.
I also think that Flanno should be sent out on loan to another prem team, maybe not robinson as we all know Aurelio can break a bone on cotton wool.
I am not discrediting the lower leagues but the football is different and prem experience, for me, is paramount

Tippy tappy

I know what you mean but I think Toni is a little further back in his development than those you mentioned he's 18 so we are only just allowed to loan him out.

Northampton are bottom of league 2 though

I think if you look at the Championship there are clubs in there who would take the same loan...

How old was wilshere when he was at Bolton, could of only been 18/19?

Toni will enjoy the fruits of the BNP-infested bummy lower leagues who will take great pride in reducing his mobility by approx 16-18%. He will then return to Liverpool as a man short on confidence, lonely and vulnerable. He will be offered a puff of a 'magic pipe'. He will be told that by taking a puff he will feel invigorated and happy again. He will have been lied to. He will then take this first fatal puff. Following this puff he will fall into rapid decline, reappearing on ja606 threads entitled 'Whatever happened to Toni? He had great potential'. The responses will be inconclusive. Some will claim he's on loan. Others will claim he's been sold. Many will point to pipe usage. A link to a wikipedia page will then indicate that Toni was sold to Vasas SC for £150,000 in July 2013.

Anyone who takes the illuminati seriously must be wrecked on the pipe.
