It's been well publicised that Rangers owe gate money to Dundee Utd and Dunfermline and also owe money to Hearts over the Wallace transfer.
I've been reading that as Rangers can't pay this money then these clubs will not receive it. Surely this can't be right?!
Do the SFA or SPL not have any procedures in place that can safeguard any money owed between two clubs? Could TV money be redirected from Rangers to pay the amounts owed to Utd and Dunfermline? They might not get all the money but surely they should receive some sort of percentage.
With regards to Hearts would they have a case in getting Wallace back and selling him on to someone else as the whole transfer wasn't honoured?

'Also I'm pretty sure someone on here said Bartley was away back to Arsenal and Lafferty's contract has been ripped up?'
Some good news for the berz at last then......

Lennonism
There are experts everywhere justnow and I am not pretending to be one of them. I have a basic understanding of the process at best, and obviously had a good laugh at Dundee twice.

Had the same thought yesterday is that not why Hearts were sanctioned over the non payment to players. SPL said something about bringing the league into disrepute.
Surely shafting three fellow clubs would fall inot the same catigory.
Will be interesting to see how the money lasts and if they can cover costs. Imagine the police bill if the Ibrox OF match is a title decider

Its at best a complex subject scotscelt, as Arabian says there are ramifications reguarding competitions they can and cannot play in (europe for one if this mess is nt sorted by end of March )
but aye i think other clubs will get paid first if possible, i mean if not could that drop Hertz into a similar position? the whole thing cascades and snowballs if clubs start shafting each other

I think they dropped the rules about football debts getting priority. Might have been England right enough, didnt really pay attention at the time.
I dont think the other clubs have any extra rights but the SPL could impose further sanctions if they choose to.

Re Laffatme and Bartley, I've heard the same. Laff is on 98 games and 100 trigger a bonus to Burnley (remember Michael Ball?). They can't afford the loan fees for Bartley. I've also heard that the following are out now as they are out of contract in the summer so with no resale value - Healey, Papac, Aluko (bit harsh, considering he paid his own tfr fee!!), Little, and Kerkar. It's not even a firesale cos there's no fees involved!!

I've heard that Lafferty won't play again, as this would trigger another payment to Burnley.
Wouldn't suprise me if the administrator would be looking at offloading him.
