Lee Clark Sacked

So I see Huddersfield have sacked Lee Clark. Interesting one that.

He must be regretting turning us down now eh?

Surely it's on the cards for him to go to Leeds now, as good a club Leeds are I can't help think that it's out the fire into the frying pan if that's the case!

I have queried this decision on the Huddersfield JA606 board, and am told that -

"Fox, the thing is we have been poor for a while and if the Blades win their game in hand will be 7 points off an automatic spot which was the aim this year. We have failed 3 times to get promoted with Clark, that's more than most managers get. Still was expecting this to happen in the summer and not now but guess Hoyle is hoping for a "Great Escape" type resurgence".

They have won three of the last seven, and reacted thus. The cup aside, we have won three of the last twelve.....hmmm.

It just shows how clueless most owners/directors are.

I think Lee Clark has been a bit of an ego at Hudd an has annoyed too many people. There are also concerns about his ability.

For that reason, I think we had a lucky escape when he turned us down. Whatever put him off, I'm glad!!

Listening to the few members of the public that were interviewed on Sky Sports News, none seemed that surprised. One said Lee Clark was "chopping and changing the team", the standard of play had become poor of late and that he (Lee Clark) had had fall-outs with the press.

When he turned us down I’m fairly sure he said something along the lines of being supported by a brilliant chairman who he couldn’t let down.

Hmmmm ...

You guys had a lucky escape,, After 3 and a half years Clark did not know his best team, We have seen nigh on 3 full sides come and go and in some cases the players he has signed have been shipped out again within no time at all,,Strange carry on for someone who says "they look at their character and personality closely before signing ! Most of the time the football has been shocking with players out of position and looking a little lost, New signings can come straight into the side, play well for two games and then be mystifyingly dropped to the stiffs for a month, Clarks post match interviews are embarassing as he has no idea how to talk to the press or accept criticism after a poor result, Leading to him falling out with the local radio reporters, He has blamed their negativity for results, Blamed individual players for results and even blamed the fans at one point, Throw into the mix the money spent, The boring unbeaten run (most fans see through that as we lost the game that counted) and his refusal to rule himself out of speculation for other jobs, Yourself and Weeds that we know of, Allegedly he never spoke to you lot and was denied permission to speak, allegedly, Clarks a legend in his own mind, And if you scratch below the surface of those that are on the radio bleeting about his dismissal ! Well look no further than a certain Paul Stretford, Agent for Clarky, Collymore, Rooney, etc etc.
