Injuries.

Tyrone Mears had has a follow up operation on hi leg like Holden and will be missing for a further 6 weeks.

Kevin Davies however has got medial ligament damage and is out for atleast the next 3 weeks apparently.

Both listed as out for the foreseeable future.

Thoughts?

I never said players 'deserve' respect....they EARN it.

yes they are highly paid and this annoys me too - that's not the players fault though...

some players come to the club, play their game and then leave for more money etc etc...

others gain the adoration of the clubs fans, they genuinely develop a love for the club, an affinity with its fans....in effect, they sort of become fans themselves. these players have earned the respect they get.

That's a fair comment nige. If you think skd is a useless lump or just not good enough anymore matters little. At the end of the day he has been a great player for this club but all good things come to an end. For all he has done for bwfc they have given him a life some of us could only dream about.

Personally either skd or coyleshould have addressed the situation in the summer and let the guy go on top. Instead he and the club have opened him to ridicule by plodding on with something he can no longer do. He would be great for a year or two in the championship. (you never know we might even get to test that theory)

..........

i agree....

that's not my point... ive never once said he is still a great player for us and I accept that.

what i cant justify though is 'fans' turning on him and calling him something along the lines of a slow, fat, useless waste of space *unt'

im not quoting anyone on here...but ive heard it in the Reebok and through reading various forums.

these are the same people who would have been singing 'super kevin davies' a year ago...

What people have to be aware of is say what you want about skds football but once you are personal there is no room for you at bwfc.
I think bwfc deserve one think from us fans and that's personal respect no slaughtering wives or children or any prejudice.

Davies isn't as effective as he once was, we all know that, and it's true we're better off without him. None of us would disagree that he's been great for us for such a long time.
But in fairness, it's true that we'd get more out of him if our midfield wasn't so flimsy at times.

Thats very true Madnot. It would be interesting to know how many times SKD has played as a 4-5-1. From what I can recall he has played either along side Klasnic or ngog. If we did have a fully fit midfield I am certain he can still be effective.

Clegg, do you actually think Davies won every single ball in the air against Wigan, or are you being sarcastic?

---------------------------------------------------------------

maybe not evey single ball... i.e not 100%, but he won the majority. However the point still remains, he won a good amount of balls up to him, yet are manager is clueless..... and once again didnt play to our strengths
