Eh,
They have released a furious looking statement about Alex Salmond saying that Celtic cant "prosper" without Rangers.
Seems people at Celtic dont understand the meaning of prosper or the difference between the word prosper and survive.
Celtic will still operate without Rangers but if you honestly think that their situation will improve without Rangers you are seriously deluded.
Celtic....

Chadams, the last part of the statement was telling for me, as to the motivation behind the club's comments:
"However, we are extremely well-qualified to make our own position clear and have no wish to see this being misrepresented for political reasons .”
I think Celtic, are more annoyed about Salmond's using this situation to score points than the actual comments themselves. Just my opinion, though.

Celtic have no worries as a football club
We are now copying Ajax structure of how to run a club

It won't be the TV deal which would harm Celtic if our rivals weren't in the SPL, it would be sustaining supporters' interest in the league. That's a fact.
Losing the SkySports money would not harm Celtic at all, simply because we post profits despite crashing out of Europe in August! Champions League money was worth in excess of £10million a year to us. If the Sky deal is worth £80million over five years, distributed among four clubs that is £1,333,333 a year. However, Celtic and Rangers do get a larger share of the £16million available each year, but it would not be the same as a £10million blow.
It may also swing the other way, Sky deal is cancelled, therefore the attendances rise slightly higher and this would cancel the previous effect out.
It would be a drop in attendances that would do it, not the Sky deal.

Rangers as a club are going burst 100% about that,Celtic will try and push a move to england, that won't happen but that will be in our thinking

Regardless of that, CHARLIE.
Our club's main source of income is not the TV deal, of that there is no debate. It is through season ticket sales, if we can sustain that with European Football and a lack of a TV deal forcing people to go to the game, then we may not be hugely affected.
I want Rangers to survive because, of the Old Firm games and the banter, not because it will signal the end for Celtic.

Do you feel sorry for Rangers FC?
Clearly they have won tainted titles, that won't matter now cause they will go burst HMRC have not even started on them yet

No, I don't feel sorry for them at all, CHARLIE.
They have broken the rules, so Murray could chase his European dream.
Who I do feel sorry for is the decent supporters, who were oblivious to Murray's refusal to pay taxes. I am more annoyed at the media, than anyone else and hope all the vile tabloids are closed down.

Fair point Henke, TV deal isnt that much income. As you say, Celtic have set up a business model which Rangers, upon the building of Auchenhowie (no longer using that other name, lets call him Voldemort) should have coincided with a drive for being a selling club.
Also, i believe that the administrators were right that liquidation is unlikely.
Ive been hearing murmurs that the tax case is going to be a favourable outcome for Rangers. These are just murmurs, however the declaration that there are interested parties looking to buy Rangers makes me think that it was always going to transpire that way.
Call me an idiot but i cant help but think there is a bigger plan at play here than Whyte.
Maybe im just burying my head in the sand however i remain hopefull that we will be back out of Admin before we start next season with a ten point deduction. However i dont think we will make the Euro deadline.
Just such a void of info that everyone and their dug is filling in. Remains to be seen.
Celtic dont NEED Rangers however it helps them considerably.
