I dont really know what to take from this. I reckon its definite hes staying til end of season at least but we already took that for granted?

Fabio Capello resigned from the post last week and the 64-year-old is firm favourite to take over.

However, whilst the former Portsmouth man has played down any rumours of taking the job on a more permanent basis, he has suggested that a role as temporary manager at Euro 2012 is a possibility.

"Part-time? In the short term I think it's possible for the European Championships," Redknapp told Abu Dhabi Sports. "But I think in the long-term it's not possible to manage a club team and manage a national team.

"It's difficult enough to manage in the Premier League without having to worry about managing the England team as well.

"You want to be watching England players play, you want to be watching the opposition."

He added: "I think, whoever they give the job to could only do the one job. Maybe for the Euros, it's not such a problem but once the Euros are finished and the new season starts in England, the manager has to be a Premier League manager. To do the two jobs, it would be impossible."

He was however quick to reiterate that he is enjoying his time at the north London club and that his immediate concern is to build on their recent successes in the Premier League, where they currently sit comfortably in third-place, with a title challenge not out of their reach.

"But it's not an easy one. I have a good job and I work with good people and I have a good team. The fans have been fantastic to me." Redknapp added.

"Just to walk away now, when we're in such a good position, it wouldn't be fair, it wouldn't be fair on Tottenham. I have to really keep focusing on Tottenham."

My gripe is that he has been given the week off by Levy to recover from his court case ordeal, so he takes his wife to Dubai for the week, and still can't keep his bloody mouth shut and starts gobbing off to Abu Dhabi Sports.

I think this quote is quite telling - if he'd put country before club i'd be worried, but it sounds like he might be considering turning it down. Yeah, i'm clutching at straws

I said a week ago that Harry was playing a cute game. IMO he will take the England team for the euros on a part time basis and will then decide if he wants the job full time or not.
