Being realistic.

With Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich still in the Champions League, we never really had a chance of winning it anyway.

Being knocked out in the last 16 is probably best for us as it allows us to concentrate on the FA Cup and the Premier League race for CL qualification.

The only heartbreaking thing about last night was the manner of the defeat. We were thrashed, and we deserved it. Our players showed absolutely no will to close down space, push forward to score, or defend as a unit, while AC Milan were completely up for it.

I do hope we can win the second leg, maybe even by a couple of goals, just to get our dignity back, but at the end of the day, going out of the competition now means we can pour our limited resources into the two domestic competitions instead of wasting energy in a futile attempt at European glory.

Btw, Aaron Ramsey and Theo Walcott need to be dropped from the first team for a couple of weeks. They aren't playing well and we can't afford to have one passenger in the team let alone two.

We were awful but I don't think it would have been as bad with Kosc on the pitch. We were 2-0 down with a 1 in million goal and a goal that was actually offside, but we were awful. What was wrong with Vermaelen?

Hope this disaster have not an influence on our FA cup season. What really cracks me up is not that we lost instead of how we lost it. We confirm all the prejustices from so called experts in a negative way. Our mentality is so weak its beyond believe.

Benny

Tottenham Hotspurs weren't even in the CL this year. When you were in it, you got smashed 4-0 by Real Madrid at WHL.
