Quote "The solution for Rangers, it seems to me, is to sell off its foreign players, reduce its wages, remortgage its stadium and training grounds and reach a settlement with HMRC to pay off the tax bill over the long term. The administrators should then try to set up the club as a co-operative, owned either by the fans or by the citizens of Glasgow. The co-operative model has worked well in the best footballing nation in the world, Spain, where both Barcelona and Real Madrid are run as co-operatives"

The solution for Rangers

seems like a fine plan. Only snag is that Rangers fans seem to have been reluctant to take up such opportunities in the past......that and the fact that we are in the midst of a global recession

Football fans are already ripped off by the big clubs - exorbitant ticket prices, merchandise etc. Just hope the general public are not going to pay the price in this instance.

Apart from our debts seems to be missing from the end of the quote by Ally McCoist.

The selling of Ibrox and Murray Park and leasing them back idea will help short term. But long term, this will cripple Rangers for years.
The lease on these two properties will be massive.
