the worse thing is

even if we keep rvp say we enter europa next season we still wont look like winning it

im kind of wondering if AWs time is up but who will replace him? and the blame for the club seems to be appllicable from the negative fans to the lacklustre players, the stubborn manager and the seemingly stingy board

the worse thing is if we don't reach the CL that's prob it for us as a club in terms of getting players, as we don't have as an illustrious history as clubs like milan, barca united, even liverpool live off of their CL glories despite having never won the prem or been in the CL for ages

as for money do we have it or don't we? we haven't known for ages. arshavin was one of our few big money signings of a great player (he was when we signed him) but the others have been walcott and AOC for 15mil who will probably leave when they are really good, just like all the others. I'm just wondering why it is all the good players in their prime we are linked to we don't get but the youngsters we do. Is it AWs policy or the boards? Is it because the wage demands of a youngster would always be a lot lower than a player in his prime?

at any rate I hope we pick up form in the prem now that it's looking like we are crashing out of europe and do well in the fa cup. Arsenal needs some change but it's hard to say what when every section of the club seems pretty flawed

a player in his prime has no sell on value

thats why AW recruits youth. if they turn out great a la Fabregas, you then sell them for huge profits

see also Anelka, Nasri and numerous other deals.

yh i noticed the resale value, and when they are english like wilshere, aoc and walcott it's harder for clubs to buy them as with aoc and wilshere you're looking at 30mil a pair, could even get 20/25 if they were in the last year of their contract. walcott could still go for a cool 15mil

but you have to bear in mind the same way some of the players we buy came to us to improve their career is the same way they'll go to another club to reach another level. even though nasri isn't getting games he's prob thinking if i was at still at arsenal I'd have to over preform coz the others aren't prefoming!

also imagine players like hazard (should we bid for them) snub us for teams like spurs on the basis of CL football. it's bad enough we can't get players because there's no point getting into bidding wars or offering better contracts, but if players don't want to come because we aren't in the CL then we can only rely on players who want their potential unlocked by AW, in other words, more players under 20...
