So, Warnock talking to Wolves

Could you play us another tune on your fiddle (No pun intended) Nero Bates and Harvey?

Morning Leeds fans, Blackburn fan in peace.

You probably won’t want to hear this and it won’t come as a surprise to you but a mate of mine works for Channel 3e in Ireland. Long story short, they were supposed to have Neil Warnock on yesterday doing analysis of the United V Ajax game but he pulled out at the last minute to supposedly have talks with Wolves.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have interviewed Steve Bruce, Neil Warnock and Alan Curbishley in the search for a replacement for Mick McCarthy, who was sacked as manager after Sunday's 5-1 mauling by West Bromwich Albion.

Curbishley is favourite.

So why haven't Leeds interviewed anyone for the job?

I don't get why wolves would sack a manager like macarthy and employ a warnock. Don't think he will go to wolves.

Gus would be good, Bates first choice was obviously to engineer Redfearn into the job, nice and cheap. But that one backfired, hope I am wrong, but I don't think Bates is waiting for the right man, just the man who will demand the least!

To be fair if Bates appointed someone like Warnock the pressure would be on Bates to deliver promotion next season (based on fans assumptions of Warnock). You can imagine the scenario Warnock gets the job, in the summer Snodgrass and White leave, the usual average comes into the squad, resulting in missing the playoffs. The blame would be solely on Bates (there would be no excuse that Grayson is holding the club back or taking it backwards).

Bates will want another manager he can blame when his policy once again leaves the club short on the field. Lee Clark hasn't achieved promotion from lge 1, he'd be perfect.

Sir ken, the difference between Grayson and Warnock would be that if Bates sells whats left of our better players, he'd walk away and tell everyone why. Bates couldn't cope with that.

If Bates employs Warnock or mcCarthy, you know he is going to try and go for promotion. Those 2 wouldn't be around without being backed. If we get a yes man in then you know we are not going for it
