Strike Pairing v Chezz

What with Madines somewhat loss of form, would it be Low or Morrison to take his place? Personally if I was Meggy i'd concentrate on helping Madine with his confidence, or lack of it, give him words of encouragment he's one of our prized assets and droppin him may not help him, he's got 12 goals and would have had a shed load more had he not got injured, also this is coupled with Marshall leaving who provided the service, like I said the other day I reckon that if M Jones played a part tommorow and provided Madnine with a bit of service then we may see the old aMadine again. But with all due respect to Lowe and Morrison they would only fill in should O'Grady get dropped or injured IMHO!!

Tommorow i'll go with

Bywater

Buxton
Llera (If his heads healed)
Batth
R Johnson

M Jones
Semedo
Bostock
J Johnson

Madine
O'Grady

Madine will make 20 goals before the end of the season. He doesn't worry me long term. It is more about how O'Grady applies his game to that of Madine's for me. I'd probably start with the pair on 'em

Weaver in nets would be my preferred choice.

On current form Llera over Jones - but that is a close call.

Can't make my mind up over Bostock - I think Prutton would be a better choice to start if only to ensure some grit in the first half.

Weaver

Buxton
Llera/Jones
Batth
R Johnson

M Jones
Semedo
Prutton
J Johnson

Madine
O'Grady

In contrast to the Stevenage game this is one where loss would be unacceptable, win this one and get something out of the SCD and things don't look so bad again.

Got to agree Madie should start but how does he play next to COG, for me they are too similar.

Dunno Mike. Can O'Grady fill the 'box' role? Not sure about that. See how they do in the first half perhaps then try Clint or Ryan in the 2nd if not producing dividends???

A lot depends on service from Midfield, we need JJ and Jones to be delivering crosses in a metronomic fashion, backed up by exquisite passes threaded through to the forwards from Prutton and Semedo.

I live in perpetual hope.

COG kinda reminds me of Heskey, only sturdier & less clumsy, yeah agreed that they are a bit simular but Madine had more of an eye for goal, for me he should try Lowe & Madine on that basis, they are both prolific and different, we have three stikers who are kinda simular in terms of holding the ball up, we need a striker who can turn and run onto balls with a bit of pace, but in all fairness he aint ever gonna drop COG as he fits into Meggys burley striker catagory. Just need Madine to get his confidence back again

ive given lowe a bit of stick since he came to s6, hes always offside , misses too many chances etc and i havent seen him do enough to warrant a starting slot, but ive had a rethink.....
at bury he was on fire, which prompted us to buy him, he then got injured and since his return he has stuttered a lot.
maybe he has lacked sharpness due to a lack of match time and to get an understanding with madine.
so i am going to go against my usual beliefs and go for this line up based on my new way of thinking.

weaver....bystander is poor
buxton.....best rb in a long time
batth.....come on leaps and bounds
liera.... not as dominant as jones in the air but better on the deck and in possesion
reda....beast
jj.....in form and our biggest threat
semedo......hes magic ya knooooow
bostock.....got an eye for a pass
m jones......gonna trust meggo on this one.
madine.....needs to play to get his goal tally on track again
lowe.....needs to play a run of games to see if he can cut it.

id like to see some quality delivery from set pieces and mix it up a bit with pace.
