What is good for English football is financially prudent top clubs, coupled with an ingrown player production line.

As owners go, you don't want Sugga Daddy FCs, nor those whose commercial operations are morally/socially unsavoury to the general public.

I thought I was the only person that still does not want a sugga daddy.

Its not all about money its about hard work and I realise that the modern day younger generation want instant success by splashing out millions but I would far rather THFC stuck to the old tried and trusted principles.

Plenty of English owners down the years who couldn't run a bath let alone a football club.... Don't think nationality has anything to do with it provided we keep a sharp operator in charge of the day to day running... aka Mr Levy.

For Spurs tis different to most clubs, as we were taken to the brink, ending a decade of good Spurs teams and reasonable competitive/silverware return, and putting us in the wilderness for 15 yrs.

Been there, done it. Never again.

How do you define 'Hard Work' in the context of a Premier League club?

RDBD - I agree I suppose. I want investment for Spurs to take us to the next level don't get me wrong, but I like that we're holding our own sense of national identity in the face of foreign dominance in ownership of the EPL. You may as well take the 'E' out before long.

The 'E' is only used by foriegn media.

The point is it's an English league, or at least it's meant to be. The more foreign it becomes the more at risk it is of having some major unlikable changes in the future.

By the effort in nurturing/managing teams of the basis of training and management. Which results in a team that plays well. Which puts bums on seats. Which may win things. That brings in more revenue. Which gets commercial sponsors/advertisers interested. Which brings in more revenues.

Specifically : a virtuous circle.

But you'll learn all this in two years when Pep celebrates his Spurs winning the quadruple at the Apple stadium, N17.

I would also add by running a decent youth setup and by developing some decent english players.
