I agree with meme on this one, back in droves alright, Warnock will have this set of players winning again.

A new day and still in complete despair at the likely news and the short term stupidity of some on here.

Assuming it's true, we now have a chairman and a manager who have absolutely no affinity with our great club. Wakner is a mercenary buzzard, using the club to boost his own ego in wanting to equal the record for promotions but we know he can't manage in the top division, so even if by some miracle he can get promotion, he won't be around long. So where would that leave us ? In a division with a manager and set of players that are not fit for the task.

Do you seriously think Bates would suddenly let go of the purse strings, even then ? Remember, "club first, team second". The only possible bright light would be that he might sell if we were promoted, but how can we be sure what is going on in his mind ?

Apart from the hideous thought of Wakner managing our great club at all, I fear the motives behind this are very dangerous and could ultimately set us back another five years or more.

We need to build slowly but surely - Revie-esque, if you will, but of course that will not happen while Bates darkens our door, and certainly not with Wakner at the controls.
