Right now, i can say this appointment will not work. Bates and Warnock have too many differences in personality. Not to mention Warnocks love of Sheffield United.
Bates and Grayson could survive as acquaintances because Grayson wouldn't ask questions or say controversal things. In other words a 'yes man.'

He was also superb at working on a shoestring, which is essential when Bates is your boss.
Warnock is the opposite. He's not very effective in the transfer market (Remember Kieron Dyer?) He compensates by making witty comments and being blunt. This isn't going to go down too well with Bates.
Whilst he can win promotion from the Championship, it will never happen for him under Bates.
Warnock will fail at Leeds!

Go away and research how much Warnock spent at every team he got promoted BEFORE said promotion.
Go away and check how many manager bates has employed during his time in football. Then come back and apologise for saying he only ever employs yes men.
---------------------
He spent a fair amount at both Sheffield United and QPR (the two teams he reached the Prem with)
Bates does employ Yes men. Ranieri, Blackwell, Wise, McAllister and Grayson are all 'yes men' type managers, who will stay on their leash rather than stand up to the chairman.

He didn't spend a fair amount at qpr, he spent after they went up.
I asked you to go away and research it, THEN come back.

Fire in the belly.Thats a possibility. But look what Clough did after we sacked him.I bet we would lift him shoulder high,if he got us promoted this or next season. We were prepared to give grayson time,so lets see how Warnock does.

All but one of the signings are 'undisclosed' but he bought a lot of players.
So it's obvious he did have a large chequebook before promotion.

So you no way of backing up what you have claimed.
Now go do the same for the six other promotions.

I Just did. By showing he bought a lot of players
It took him a long time to get Sheff Utd promoted, during which he had access to good players (Michael Brown, Tonge, Jagielka, Paddy Kenny to name a few.) I would hardly say promotion with them was a impressive achievement.
His other promotions weren't from the Championship.

and leeds have signed loads of players under Grayson and not spent a penny.
You cant actually prove he spent loads and are now coming out with, but he did sign loads.
Get all seven promotions together, and then divide it by seven. Then I will debate with you, but until then you know nothing and your statement about him failing at Leeds is stupid.
