Cech: 7 - Few saves but nothing all that much to do.

Bertrand: 6 - Did ok, especially considering he hadn't played in ages.
Cahill: 6 - Didn't do much wrong.
Luiz: 8 - brilliant interceptions, far better without Bosingwa. (MOTM)
Ivanovic: 8 - solid at the back and fantastic assist.

Mikel: 4 - Misplaced too many passes
Ramires: 6 - Did ok.
Meireles; 5 - Improved with the change in tactic but needs a rest IMO.

Mata; 5 - Not a great game by his standards compounded by penalty miss.
Sturridge; 6 - Best of a bad front three.
Torres; 3 - I feel sorry for him because it's not entirely his fault but he was rubbish.

Subs;

Drogba; 6 - made a difference because he wasn't Torres.
Kalou; 6 - Energy but not much else.
Lampard ; N/A - crp FK though.

He was, you can say that he can't be match fit but he was poor.

Would like to see Meireles' pass % cause he seems to give the ball away an awful lot. I think we need to play 4231 with ram, ess and lamps rotating most of the time and less of meireles.
Ivan played very well, hopefully AVB will finally see this and stick with him for Napoli!!

Ivanovic -8 MOM, solid defencibly and attacking threat
David Luiz - 7 Some good interceptions,I like he when he moves the ball from defence to attack, good ball control for a defender
Cahill - 6
Bertrand -6
Ramires - 6 Workaholic, box to box but not much creativity from our midfielders
Mikel - 5 Too much to expect from him after coming back from injury. Fair to say the last person u need when you are chasing the game is Mikel.
Meireles - 5 some careless passes and long balls. again we havent got a creative midfield.
Torres - 5 Got subbed at half-time. pretty much says it all. Should be happy coming on from the bench for the rest of the season.
Mata - 6
Sturridge - 7

Drogba - 6 Just his prescence gave us some hope.
Kalou - 6 one thing about Kalou is that he will run at defenders pushing them back.
Lampard - 5 Should only expect to start from bench.

Bertrand's performance today shows why AVB is reluctant to start him in important matches.
