I suppose, like everybody else on here, I've been left wondering just where we would have been should Marshall have stayed. Three defeats in a row would have been something pretty commonplace last season, but something totally inexcusable now! A few weeks ago I was looking at these last 3 fixtures and thinking "God, we'll befighting it out for top come end of February"....well, the joke's on me!! I'm now dreading the steel City derby. I can see us coming out red & white faced once Ched Evans has his way. Without Marshall, we´re going nowhere except mid-table. Our strikers are poor, our back four are wobbly and our mid-field provide, but not with the accuracy of Ben Marshall. If MM doesn't dig deep quickly to bring in a couple of decent loan players (1 to replace Marshall and 1 to stick away the chances provided) then we are quite simply screwed! There is still time to cement our position in the play-offs, but we need a team that can overturn the likes of Huddersfield and Stevenage if we hope to come out victorious. Oh, what might have been had Marshall not gone to Leicester? "
One man doesn't make a team"?............B.S. !!!!!
What could have been!!

Its my new baby's fault. He was born on the 9th and we aint won since.
He's a proper Wednesdayite I tell thee. familiarised himself with the suffering form day one.

Shib, I feel your pain. My lad was born on 29th January, I was sat in the hospital doing the concerned husband bit(i.e. listening to the Blackpool away game) the day before and since then it's all been downhill.
His Dad has done little else other than suffer for the last nigh on 30 years, so now it's his turn!
Up the owls!!!!

Surely having a child and forcing them to support Wednesday is some kind of child abuse

Ooh, I dunno Mega. Winning the derby would be up there. I've seen three nippers born now and I have to admit, you have 9 months of build up so kind of know whats gonna happen, whereas the derby ...
... now that's an entirely different kettle of fish.
@ Tom, congratulations and well done yourself. Always good to see another owl delivered safe and sound!! Have a on me.

Oh yeah its defo up there but two very different situations. Personally Ive never felt such a rush as much as seeing your kids for the first time and I have two!!!
For me the best derby feeling was, apart from the FA semi final, was the sight of Brian Laws swinging & then throwing an Owls scarf in celebration, I remember thinking, "This guy is awesome!!" I'll never forget that!!It was he had won the Champions League with us, only a derby win is better!!! It showed how much we meant to him, just a shame he had no doller to spend!

Cheers fellas
He's a diamond is young Owen
I've started the torture off nice and early by getting him the home strip with his name on, poor lad!
He can wear it on Sunday whilst his Dad is having some Dutch courage before the now inevitable letdown. That way I've got someone else to blame!
Up the owls!!!!
