After going ahead and Doyle's supreme,Gordon Banks-like turning of the penalty onto the post and out,I really thought we were on for the upset of the F.A.Cup so far!
When I saw Redmond racing towards the goal 1 on 1 with the keeper I thought this kid is about to write his name in Blues history, both teams!
Unfortunately I think he realised exactly the same and being just 17,the pressure of the situation got to him, hardly suprising under the circumstances!
As far as I could tell it was a full strength Chelsea squad, someone correct me if I'm wrong but despite the London-biased media's best attempts to not allow us a moment of recognition,we were the better team on the day by quite some way,IMHO.
We were the form team going into the game & Chelsea the opposite and it definitely showed!
Saying that, when all's said and done,I'd certainly have taken a 1-1 draw away to Chelsea before the game so no complaints there.
Let's get 'em back to Fortress St Andrews for the replay,we're the only NPower Championship team unbeaten at home in the league this year.I've got to believe after that performance at Stamford Bridge the players and manager have the confidence that we can go on to win this.
At the end of the day,the magic of the F.A.Cup was the clear winner yesterday!
Chelsea game was ours to lose!

Agree absolutely. Looking down the team lists Chelsea's team was undeniably full strength apart from Drogba who came on second half. It's funny to be honest, a cheap assembled not-full strength squad with key absentees (Burke, Zigic etc.) outplaying a massive club worth millions. Chelsea haven't been right for ages and I think we can really go for it at St Andrews.

We have done well away from home in the cups, we really do look very hard to beat, even at Braga I thought we were the better team.
Chelsea still favs for the replay but at least we know CH will have a go. If Zigic is fit, then I think we have a chance.

Well its gonna be tough either way.
But if Chelsea mess up against Napoli, then the FA Cup is going to be the only thing they may Win this season.
Chelsea may be better trying to put as much effort into the FA Cup anyway as they will not Win the Prem this season, and they have a long way to go to get to the Champions League Finals.
So i guess it also depends on how they do in their games up to our game as surely another thing on the minds of Chelsea would be winning League Games as failing to get Champions League for Chelsea next season would be a major failure.
I think we came close as Redmond had more time and a more experienced player would have tested the keeper or scored.
But in such a massive game, in such a massive moment nerves could have got the better of the lad and i guess in time his composure will improve greatly.
