Liverpool hammered Brighton & Hove Albion on Sunday afternoon to set up an FA Cup sixth round tie at home to Stoke City.
Martin Skrtel headed in Steven Gerrard's cross after five minutes, but then Kazenga LuaLua shot into the bottom corner after a free kick from 30 yards on 17 minutes. A Liam Bridcutt own goal a minute before half time restored the Reds' lead after Glen Johnson had headed towards goal.
Andy Carroll scored Liverpool's third on 57 minutes with a good finish from Stewart Downing's low cross. Bridcutt scored another own goal after Gerrard's tight angled shot hit him, and Lewis Dunk couldn't keep Luis Suarez's cross from going in.
Suarez then missed a penalty, but headed in on 84 minutes after Carroll had headed it across goal to him to round off a dominant performance.

Brighton's defending was laughable, more people in the main stand were laughing when the fifth goal went in rather than cheering the fact we'd scored again.
Still, roll on next Sunday & then Stoke, I'd rather take two trophy wins than fourth - don't think our team is good enough to compete in the latter stages of the Champions League anyway.
