Just another suggestion on formation obv 4-4-2 bought us a great deal of success and our current formation sucks without a cesc/gotze/hamsik type player so how bout this?
I quite like it winbacks provie width but also defensive cover mert as a sweeper due to lack of pace coq and song can do the dirty but also play the ball wilshere and ox support persie!

Totally the opposite actually!
the back 3 of verm kosc an mertie stay back but when the oppo breaks verm and kosc with there pace can nulify most attacks also by which time coq sagna and santos can swiftly fall back

the only problem is that it would mean having our only competent defenders on the pitch for every game. with our injury record, it'd be suicide.

True but what else? its also worth mentioning that someone like miquel may play good with the extra defender there to help? i dunno but summit has to change thats all i know
