If only to start realising the potential we bought.
It is blindingly obvious that he is a confidence player and slowly, this seems to be coming back
Today he was excellent and exactly the centre forward we have missed since torres went. His movement is getting better and above all, he is sharp again.
He will never be worth the £35m we paid, but torres was never worth £50m and at this present time I would rather have carroll than torres.
Come on Andy, keep it up lad
Carroll HAS to start the next game

For those who are hallucinating over Andy Carroll. You beat a 9th place Championship team today. In fact, this team scored half of your goals!

The same 9th place side that knocked Newcastle out in the last round!
What was the excuse for spurs against an even lower placed stevenage?

Can't help but notice, and I hope I'm not the kiss of death here but, it can't have escaped anyone's attention that, post-LS/Evra, now that the squad/team are actually focused on football issues, our nearest competitors are beginning to wobble. It begs the question, can it get better? JimmyTheRed

I can certainly see the reason AoD, but, despite this emphatic win, the team today aren't dripping with confidence. One thing is certain however, Kenny will be already thinking far beyond next Sunday, and who is going to step up to the plate for the remainder of the year. Downing is my MOTM. JimmyTheRed
