He hasn't been signed to be our new out and out striker, like you seem to make out
. I Dont think he will be a nailed on starter either. Especially if Nasri stays and if we sign mata or alvarez.
I have to disagree with you on the point that he wont fit in playing in the premiership. IMO he looks to have all the attributes to succeed. He is fast strong and direct. which is something we seriously lacked, to many of our players on the break put their foot on the ball and pass it sideways. We haven't been the once fast direct counter attack team since pires henry left, we used to be phenomenal on the break. I think with walcott and gervinho we can recapture that direct break style of play when needed.
I think gervinho would be a quality player to have on the bench or to give us a different dimension.
