I will lose respect for Abramovich.....

I will lose the respect of Abramovich, not as a rich person, but as a football club owner if he ends up firing the underfire AVB.

He is the one who let go of one, of not, the most successful coach in the world, Jose Mourinho, for an unproven (at club level), Phil Scolari. This backfired, and he quickly severed ties with him and appointed Avram Grant. The rest of the story you know it.

He went on to hire Carlo Ancelotti whom he conspicously fired after successfuly winning the double the previous season and went for an ameuter, in the name of Andre Villas Boas.

All this showed a man who is ready to take risks, and am not surprised why he is a multi billionare today.

But come on, this is football, and not a bussiness venture like buying oil wells etc. This is a sport, a discipline, and success in this field requires patience and investing for the future.

Much as Abramovich is investing in youth, he lacks patience, an important prerequisite for any successful club. Ask yourself why Wenger is still at the helm of Arsenal after going potless for the past 7 years? Why cant Abramovich not have this kind of patience?

If Abramovich sacks AVB, then he is delluded, and i will lose total respect for him as a football club owner.

I an not sure how you can compare the clubs. They are run on completely different lines. I am not excusing Wenger's frailties, but someone like Abramovich must expect to win a Prem or Champs League every year because of the money he has pumped in. If not, recent history shows the manager goes. May be if I were Abramovich, I would expect the same too.

How do Chelsea fans view Ancelotti? Was it the right decision to sack him?

Does AVB really deserve to be sacked, after going trophyless for one transitional season?

We haven´t even finished the season yet !!

Who´s saying that we won´t win something this season ???

FA Cup is still realisitic as if we beat Birmingham and then Leicester we´ll be in the Semi-Final.

Would Roman being happy with the FA Cup and Chelsea finishing outside the CL spots ?

Probably not but not playing Champions League football for one season won´t kill us.

Liverpool haven´t played Champions League football for a couple of years but they haven´t imploded.

Too much is made of this CL qualification thing, especially if it means missing CL football for only one season.

We could easily survive one season without CL football.

If AVB doesn't turn things around in the next month or so, I reckon he'll be gone.

RA is too ruthless to put up with possibly not qualifying for the CL

Sacking Carlos and appointing this rookie was utterly stupid anyway. There was no way AVB was going to get the better of managers like SAF in his first season.

It wouldn't surprise me to see Napoli paste Chelsea at the moment tbh. I think they just battered Fiorentina away.

Could be the last straw for RA

Its not all about playing in the champions league, but building a team that is capable of winning the much coveted trophy. Whats the point of playing in the CL year in year out and yet you cant win the trophy because the team is not strong enough to compete with the best and topple them?

I would rather miss out on the CL for a few years, build a formidable squad that can challenge at the top level, and win the CL trophy after that, than be making appearances in the CL every year but not win the trophy.

With FFP coming in ( I know people doubt it will work, but Chelsea say they are for it) can Chelsea or Arsenal miss out on CL for more than a season or 2. Look at Man City, inched their way to a CL place once the money arrived and are now leading the Premiership once they got in it. This is because once they got in the CL they could buy that type of player.

How do we know that Avb will deliver given more time, he doesn't seem to be showing any signs of improvement.
