Twitter threats

There are far too many cases of this type of moronic behaviour.

The police are now starting to get a bettr grip on it and I hope this individual gets everything he deserves.

Here is his educated opinion.

Fair enough mate

I just think he has been given a bit of a rough ride and the increasing animosity between the clubs can't be a good thing with the March fixture in mind.

There are far too many numpties about.

Arabian Knight -

The way they acted on Saturday, I wouldn't be at all suprised about some trouble in the next Dundee Utd - Rangers game.

Damn right Arabian, but the way I see it is the World is blighted by these idiots and they sadly latch on to certain things to give themselves an identity!

Marky,

True that, you take a cross section of society, anywhere in society of 50,000 fans, you are guaranteed to find a sizeable chunk of mor.ons.

Problem our 50,000 cross section get air time.

50,000. A minority of that would be under 25,000.

There were more than 25,000 singing the songs on Saturday, I'll assure you of that.

Therefor, it's a majority of the support.

Arabain Knight

Just one thing I noticed and wanted to say about the whole ticket thing with Thompson

"This is all fine and well, but the cost of losing all the hospitality would have been well over the figure of £23,000. I suggested earlier that this was merely a policing issue, I was wrong on that. Dunfermline say they lost over 100k when their recent game against Killie was called off. Although not that high, once hospitality and catering has been considered United had to make this decision."

The thing to remember here is that the first game actually started.

Unlike the Dunfermline and Kilmarnock game being called off with 90 minutes to go, this game actually started.....so there were no refunds....thats the difference.

Dunfermline couldnt possibly charge people for the first game that didnt even start, and then charge them again for a rearranged fixture.

Dundee united pocketed all the proceeds from the first game...absolutely no refunds were dished out.

For half a game, Dundee united would have pocketed just about the same amount of money as they would've from a full game...so as far as I'm concerned, they lost NO money from the first fixture....people paid their hospitality and got their hospitality, the got into the ground, they paid their tickets, the whole shebang except with only a single half of football played.

Come the second fixture, all they had to do was cover costs....thats where the £23,000 comes in, it was just the cost of staging the second game, thats all that had to be covered.

It wasnt as though they got NO money in from the first fixture and wouldnt get the same from the second fixture...thats how Dunfermline lost out.

Dundee United made all the profits they would usually make from a Saturday game against Rangers because the match started and that meant the tickets bought for that game were not to be refunded.

This is the difference...and thats why such a fuss was kicked
