Do you think it should be changed and Wenger no longer given the power to decide who earns what?

Yes.

i) Yes
ii) Should never have been given that power in the first place. Economics degree?

Absurd policy, squad players should earn considerably less than the top players, why should it be any other way? I don't buy into the notion that it helps team morale, it doesn't. All it does is serve to make them complacent and lazy. If the lesser players don't like it, they can pîss right off.
It's BS.

Jon Toral recently signed professional terms with the club.
I'd love to know how much he's on a week. It would tell us so much about our youth policy and why it's not borne more fruit.

Exactumundo. With ridiculous money being paid to youths who will naturally misspend and use it the wrong way, is it any surprise that so many potential prospects have fallen by the wayside?
There needs to be a financial incentive for the young players to motivate them, and equally the squad players should be remunerated for their direct contribution on the pitch and rewarded for making the grade to first team player.

our wages are a joke. Players get rewarded because other clubs may take them? What like Bendtner and Diaby?
It only encouraged massive egos. The players turned out to be overhyped anyway and this prevented us from signing quality players who genuinely deserved their wages.

I remember JET posting a pic of him in a blacked out Range Rover while he was still in the youth team.
