P.s comparisons to premier league won't count as it's still the top flight title - just a new design and you're not going to use the design of a trophy as a stick to beat, surely.

No - why would I contemplate that? Anything's possible. Why would any fan contemplate their team, whoever it is, never winning a trophy so close to being in their grasp? I'm sure Cardiff fans are looknig forward to Sunday, even if you probably think it's a foregone conclusion.

The old European Cup is hugely overrated by northerners in any case, in truth it was just as hard to win in the old days as the UEFA Cup.
Well done for winning the CL in 05 though.
