I could be wrong but we are looking ridiculous in europe, and the good english players (good for their club anyway) like cole, lampard, gerrard, terry, rio, scholes etc are getting on
there are the up and comers like wilshere, richards is looking good and has done well to keep his place in a club which could easily replace him, sturridge etc but we don't have any players who look like they will one day be the best player ever like gotze, or neymar.
I'd say our best most contestant player is joe hart who should have gone straight in goal for us in the WC. obviously there's other players in their prime like rooney who's form is pretty haphazard for club, non existant for country and then who else? who in their mid 20s is really doing it for england for club or country?
I know I'm missing some things out and I'm sure you guys will (rudely) fill in the gaps but grassroots and current styles of the english game needs to change
things like the target man and centrebacks who tackle by making fouls that ref wont give are no good in modern football, it's all about skill and clever play rather than physique

PL started getting weaker with 50% tax and lower tax rate for foreign players in Spain, those s follow the money.

Exciting players wilshire cleverly jones smalling rooney wellbeck (Carrick is better then lampard or gerrad who play individually hence look what happened against germany) I am sure there are others. The problem is capello wasted these talents by playing the failures of past tournaments England at world cup were shocking, you never saw a game in the group stages that wasn't a struggle. Nothing clicked.

it's unfair to call them surfers because the PL only came to prominence because of the money, and now everyones going to Real or Barca, or just generally staying in europe because no one likes getting two footed tackles because they are too talented

bit unfair to blame midfielders for conceding 4 goals, but neither really did well for england yet they kept on getting picked >.<
