Yes but that season we had the following players at the top of their form:

Essien, Lampard, Makelele, Carvalho, Terry, Drogba, Ballack, Cole.

Mata would be the only player that could get into that squad (let alone the first team). If you look at it like that I think it's no wonder we're dire this season.

if drawing V Rosenberg was a good enough reason to sack the best manager we've ever had (tas if he was no longer a man to take us any further!), then AVB should be "jailed" for all the mistakes he's responsible for (since August 2011)

This article is ridiculous, put 40,000 fans together in a stadium or have millions of fans world wide and there will always be different sections of support with contrasting and varying opinions. People will refer to fans if they are one person, how can you say people fans are fickle when it's a group you're referring to?

This isn't about either manager being sacked, it's about fickle fans. I know for a fact that mates of mine that were "fed up and bored" with Jose (I wasn't) wanted him out and now wnat him back. There are also plenty on here who were raving about AVB being the man (I wasn't so sure but he is here now so hey ho) now want him sacked.

AVB was an unknown quantity - in hindsight I fear it was too early for him in this job
