Shed some light on the Wolves situation !

I recieved a fascinating e-mail this morning from my Wolves fan mate Adrian ( I know, sad to say but I have one ) giving me a little inside information upon their current plight.

It would appear his family have worked at the club for years. It appears his great Grandmother worked at the club from 1893 to 1948 as their Major Trophies polisher. She was paid a £1 a Trophy for this, £2 a week being a fine sum of money for the day.

By all accounts she retired in 1948 due to ill health and the job passed on to her Daughter ( Adrians Grandmother ), she did it from 1949 to 1980 and saw her wages steadily increase up to £9 a week, before she too was forced to retire on health grounds.

Once more, the job was passed down to Daughter and since 1981 Adrians Auntie Jeniffer Bradshaw Palmer Parkin Daniel Hughes Berry Hibbitt Carr Grey Richards Eves Brazier Barnwell Sixtoes has continued in the roll. Not surprisingly some 31 years later shes become pretty peeved off about still earning the £9 a week her mother did, so she forwarded the following information to Adrian.

She found a piece of paper on Moxey's desk apparantly outlining the 5 KEY requirements for all new Managerial Candidates !

1) Working with the current squad, the club must be saved from relegation this season.

2) Upon survival , the Manager must be able to work within a transfer budget of £15 million per season and a wage structure not exceeding £50k per week for any player.

3) The Club will be expected to become established in the Premier league and achieve a final league position between 8th and 12th each season.

4) The Team will be expected to win a Major Trophy within the next 5 years.

According to Auntie Jeniffer Bradshaw Palmer Parkin Daniel Hughes Berry Hibbitt Carr Grey Richards Eves Brazier Barnwell Sixtoes all of the candiates who had been interviewed were happy with these 4 stipulations and happy to accept the job, all fell down on item 5 !

5) You must move to Wolverhampton and not commute !

Banjo, you think its harsh for us to mock Wolves about not winning anything in recent history, but its OK for them to mock us about winning hardly anything?

From some of your posts, I make out that you go to see Wolves more times than you go to see Blues.... now I respect you because you say it as it is and you are always fair, but come one! You obviously have the money to go to games, so why choose to go to Wolves?

And for the silly little Dingle wum, 0-1 Wade Elliot Hurts don't it

End of the day i feel some of us have been harsh, but i am not sticking up for them because well they also have mocked us in the past.

I have stook up for us when they was saying we got no History at the time we both was in Championship and at other times before we won the Carling Cup.

Wolves fans came on here in droves to rub it in, when we was relegated, and they felt that Winning the Cup is nothing compared to getting relegated.

So they only have themselves to blame if we Wum them up big time if they get relegated themselves.

I for one like to see all teams in midlands do well, Villa and WBA included.

I do not have cash to go to many games, and i have been to more Blues games than Wolves this season.

To be fair looking at the reasons i started to support Blues which was in revolt to some racist Villa fans at School saying you cant be a Zulu because i am White.

Before that i mentioned well should i be a Wolves fan due to Family, those kids said they not Local and thats when i sugested Blues and they said i cant because i am White etc.

At the time before that i was not into football much and supported Liverpool...

My Local Team now is Walsall and had i not lived in Birmingham from when i was 18 months to 16. I would have no problems being a proud Sadlers fan even though they Won nowt and will most likely never will.

Come on. so our Cup run was not very difficult.

But we need credit for beating Villa, West Ham and Arsenal.

And sometimes no games in the Cups are push over games....

Look at Cardiff they are at the Final by merit, its not always Top Flight sides having easy ride to the Finals each year.

Things hot up during the last 8-16 teams of the Cups, before then you can still get upsets.

I think that in todays Football any None Top 4 (now 5-6) to get into even a Semi Final is a achievement.

Where you would expect each season the last 4 clubs to inc the likes from Man Utd, Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham.

Banjo, I don't see anything wrong with Blues fans bragging about winning the League Cup. Clubs our size are never going to win the Prem under the current financial power structure which just leaves the two Cups. As a fans day out nothing touches winning a Cup Final. I can still remember everything about our League Cup win in 1980 - Daniel crosses, Shilton flaps, Gray scores !!!!!!! - including buying a black market ticket from a Blues fan in the Ivy Bush, Hagley Road. And I would agree with fans who say it was worth relegation to get to a Cup Final.Unfortunately, it looks like we are going to get the relegation and no Cup win.

Well its not a full gone conclusion... unless Wigan can pull off a escape again.

I would not say even Villa are safe now but i feel they will stay up thanks to Bent and a few others, as without them McLeish would relegate them..... (well i think if Blues had Bent and N'Zogbia last season we would not have gone down).

I dont think relegation would spell doom for Wolves, it would be a case of dust down and mount a promotion challenge and learn from the mistakes of this season.
