Liverpool 1-1 Stoke City
van der Vaart : Adebayor
Stoke held Liverpool to a draw at Anfield in a fluid attacking game. Liverpool's midfield has been strengthened by the introductions of Khedira and Barry from Everton, yet they lacked creativity as Schweinsteiger was stranded on the wing. The same applied to Stoke too, Renegade choosing to deploy Modric in a wide role. The visitors broke the deadlock when Adebayor overpowered Carles Puyol before stroking past de Gea. Anfield was silent and Stoke continued to press, coming close to extending their lead as Wilshere's audacious chipped effort brushed the bar. Yet Khedira orchestrated a counter-attack with an incisive pass, giving van der Vaart the opportunity to equalise and the Dutchman obliged.

Arsenal 0-1 Man Utd
Aguero
Arsenal's porous defence allowed Man Utd to continue their assault on the title after a horrible mistake from Djourou. Arsenal's sitting midfielders, Tiote and Carrick, did an admirable job dictating the tempo of the game and disrupting Cambiasso's creativity. For all their efforts, though, they were let down by amateur defending from Djourou. The Frenchman was far too casual and complacent with the ball on the edge of his box. Aguero showed determination and easily dispossed the defender before drilling in.

Chelsea 2-1 Tottenham
Lampard, Scholes : Rami
A goal from veteran midfielder Paul Scholes gave Chelsea a vital win in the London derby. Tottenham fielded a strong lineup and made it clear from the start they were not there to make up the numbers, almost scoring with their first attack as Howard was forced into making a splendid save. Chelsea's midfield were superior today and enjoyed plenty of possession, Scholes showing great ball retention ability. The midfielder's chipped pass to his compatriot Frank Lampard gave the England midfielder the chance to score and he did, sliding his shot beneath the keeper. Tottenham were spurred into action and equalised within seconds of the restart, Adil Rami powering home a header from a corner. The goals had not dried up yet, however, and Paul Scholes gave his side the points as he steered home a shot from 20-yards.

Newcastle 2-0 Aston Villa
Welbeck, Gotze
Aston Villa were punished by Newcastle for fielding an attacking side as the Magpies eased to victory at the Sports Direct Arena. In fairness, Pav's side have been stricken by injury this month but their side looked very vulnerable, particularly at the back. Danny Welbeck scored the first, flicking beyond Collins before side-footing past the keeper. In the midfield, Newcastle outplayed and overpowered Villa as de Rossi was exposed in the formation Pav chose to deploy. Sneijder and Gotze had acres of space and Gotze capitalised on the luxury, adding the second as his shot crashed off the post and in from 25-yards.

Everton 2-2 Manchester City
Gerrard, Mata;Rooney, Robben
A good game and Everton just about held on for a point with their flair going forward causing a lot of problems and they managed to control the game in midfield. Man City have a lot of quality though and they pulled together to get a point.
Liverpool 1-1 Stoke
Higuain; Adebayor
Liverpool looked slightly better on paper bu they never really managed to do enough in midfield to overly hurt Stoke, who managed to control long spells of the game and earn a much deserved point.
Chelsea 3-3 Tottenham
Lampard, Drogba, Scholes; Cavani 2, Fabregas
A wonderful game between two strong sides, neither good really take full advantage. Drogba and Lampard were combining to perfection and caused havock but at the other end Cavani was a neussance and he dominated Chelseas defence.
Newcastle 1-0 Villa
Ronaldo
A stronger side with too much for their opponents

Liverpool 1 - 0 Stoke City
Higuain
A narrow home win for Liverpool over a Messi-less Stoke who, despite that loss, still fielded a strong side. Liverpool's midfield was very strong though and proved too tough for Stoke to break through without the guile of Messi. Tight match but Liverpool nick it.
Newcastle United 2 - 0 Aston Villa
Ronaldo
Welbeck
The home side simply had too much quality for the opposition. Villa worked hard but were not able to match their hosts throughout the match with goals either side of half time winning the spoils.
Arsenal 0 - 1 Man Utd
-------------- Aguero
Utd not at their best today against a spirited home side but overall there is little doubt which of these sides are the stronger and they finally ran out narrow victors with Aguero's late strike.
Chelsea 1 - 1 Tottenham
Drogba ------ Cavani
Excellent match between these strong sides.

I meant to add that Chelsea's older statesmen were matched by the younger opponents in an intriguing battle.

Everton 1 – 1 Man City
Gerrard ; Iniesta
Everton at home just had enough to scrape a point here. The away side had the stronger defence, but there was little between the midfield and forwards. If City hadn’t been as conservative up against Everton’s deep sitting counter tactics they could have stolen all 3 points.
Arsenal 1 – 2 Man Utd
Tevez ; Silva, Aguero
The away side narrowly got all 3 points here. They were stronger in defence to deal with Arsenal’s threat while they also looked more dangerous going forward. Tiote and Carrick were a real strength for the home side though as they dictated much of their side’s play. But against one of the top sides in the league they just fell short.
Chelsea 1 – 1 Spurs
Drogba ; Fabregas
The home side were stronger in defence but in midfield and attack the away side had the edge. Neither side had enough to get the win as a draw proved the fair result.
Newcastle 2 – 1 Aston Villa
Ronaldo, Wellbeck ; Ibra
Both sides looked strong going forward, but the home side’s defence proved the stronger and with the fans behind them they deserved all 3 points.
