The board meets today......our future

The board of the Mighty Arsenal FC meets today.

One of the subjects on the agenda is the role/future of Alisher Usmanov.

Having bought the 16 "historic" shares from Rangers the Russian is now close to a 30 per cent cent shareholding which, at worse, gives him the right to a look at the books. At best it might give him a place on the board.

BUT, "Silent" Stan Koenke is expected to veto this option.

Why? Is it because Americans don't like Russians?

No. I rather think it's because Usmanov has said on record he is prepared to "invest heavily in the club." Unlike Stan The Man, then. The man who, as far as I can see, hasn't put his hand in his pocket for Arsenal. Stan expects Arsenal to be like an American NFL team - where the rules of financing are entirley different from those in England. Profits shared equally between teams, spending limits on players etc etc...

Soooo.....is Usmanov a better bet than Stan for the future of the Mighty Arsenal?

Those rotten one's will make you sick.

Like i said, i've half eaten the apple and left it. Thus the rotting state, which is what apples do when eaten.

Or i can go to a tramp and offer £35m for his rotting apple, which is what Liverpool have done.

And he can score goals and get assists which propel us to a cup final, a quarter final and four points off forth. Let's see what happens next, now that he and Downing have hit form at the same time.

Yes because Liverpool aren't successful and Arsenal are.
==========================================

Arsenal have 3 PL titles. It's been 22 years since Liverpool lifted the english title.

Arsenal are 4th and bitterly dissappointed with the season. Liverpool are 7th and jumping for joy at being in the final of the 2nd tier trophy.

Ambition....swings and roundabouts.

You're either talking about history or you're not, what's it to be?

Arsenal are seven years without a trophy and each fan would have had an hour session with Susan Boyle, if it meant getting their hands on that "2nd tier trophy".

Arsenal are 4th, Liverpool are seventh, however I feel momentum is growing for Liverpool and slipping for Arsenal.

If Arsenal have ambition they've a funny way of showing it. Sell their best players, buy rubbish replacements, haven't won a trophy in seven years, finally get a stap at the "2nd tier trophy" and lose in the final.

To be honest at this stage I wouldn't care if our board was made up of the KKK as long as it brought us some success. People seem to have a moral problem with Usmanov taking over but I don't give a stuff. He seems a lot more ambitious about Arsenal than Stan does and if he was to take over we could well see the return of David Dein who Wenger looks completely lost without.

Not interested in the futile exercise of gathering worthless trophies. It's league or bust.

We've never had momentum this season. Right from the start to now we're still dragging or feets. Liverpool have quitely gone their way but are still behind Arsenal. Even the sale of our best players couldn't bring the two teams in equal footing. Arsenal are just too far ahead in terms of quality.

Rangers had 16 shares in Arsenal which were acquired in the early 1900's. They sold them.

Arn't Liverpool now 6 years without a trophy ?

Thats only 1 year behind us....

Also if the Russian pumps money into the team doesn't that go against the FIFA fairs play rule...?

Also Liverpool have been bailed out by their owners....if not they would be in administration......
