It is not too late to revert

back to our former system of playing to save our season. Imo we didn't really need this transition or a new philosophy, our former style of play was unique and effective although it depended a lot on individual performancw of players, but it made us one of the strongest sides in Europe, second only to Barca, and maybe Madrid and Utd. I think Avb's project or campaign should be cancelled.

The players don't follow the philosophy though, they don't press aggressively. If this doesn't happen the way of playing isn't going to work, as there will be loads of space behind the defence for player to run into and we won't win the ball up high.

His project doesn't last half a season

How about becoming a proper supporter?

..............

Well said that man.

I think we are seeing a lot of the glory hunters here who jumped on the bandwagon a decade ago.

where exactly is Avb taking this team to, we are playing anything but attractive football right now

plastic fans complaining cause we are 5th and still in 2 cup comps, while undergoing massive transition, support the club and the manager, you complain about avb changing the spine then say all he needed was to get rid of drogs and lamps. that is the spine idiot. he has kept terry and cech, bought mata, romeo and played sturridge

I REALLY hate the term plastic, but articles like this leave me thinking nothing else.

We could sack AVB and revert back to our old philosphy, easily done. But what will people like yourself say 12 months from now when we're in an even worse position? Assuming you'll still be supporting us then obviously.

Anything short of Abramovich forgetting FFP and giving the manager a bottomless pit in the summer, we're gunna need a long term project to be competitive again. This team is FINISHED. It should've been disbanding after winning the double, so now we need a manager with an ego to oversee this transition and ensure our next team doesn't demonstrate the same lack of respect for authority this one has in the past and present day.

AVB is our salvation, whether you can see it or not.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Now we have been brainwashed by this thing called "fancy football", it has basically been our kryptonite and we have lost our way trying to find a new identity.

The supporters haven't been. I loved watching us under Mourinho, the way we shut team's out so effectively was fantastic viewing. But the stereotypical brand of attractive football (i.e. possession based), whether we like it or not, is what Roman wants. Therefore, we have to have that in mind when evaluating certain managers. He has the money, his opinion is the one that matters. Bottom line.

HHHBF

You are one of the very few Chelsea fans that can see what the problem is.

AVB may well end up not being the right man, but he is far from the problem.

Nope continue the overhaul.

Kick out the mutineers asap, play the kids till may, then allow AVB to refrom.

this project must happen and short-term-ism will damage us.
