Things have not worked out the way he expected, so what is the way forward?

He should go.
But the problem is, who could we bring in? Souness anyone?

You could give him some time, your not going to win any trophies this season ,whats the point of replacing him half way through the season.
Get behind him for now and if he fails miserably by the end of the year he will have to go.

any experienced hand will do better, imo

In August I genuinely didn't think we would but with City and United out and 2 Championship teams standing in our way of a semi I feel we have every chance.

If Tottenham were to get Liverpool in one semi I'd be confident of victory whoever we face

Got to be one difficult job keeping all them Ego's in check, while getting it in the back of the neck from the owner.
Lets face it its a mission impossible.who ever takes the job it will only be for the money.

The players have let us down, along with every backroom man at the squad

Pinpointing the mananger is ridiculous, and quite frankly the behaviour that only plastics indulge in.

That's one of your best articles.

In light of the squads recent actions, i think AVB knows he made a fatal miscalcuation in the summer/and even january when he failed to move on some of the players he knows aren't going to fit into his plans for the future. Touch of inexperience on his part, but when you pay 13mil to acquire the services of a 33 y/o manager you have to account for these things.

If he buys an entirely squad full of his own players, and this time next year we're still playing the way we are now. Definitely his fault. Still wouldn't rush to get him out mind, but the blame would be 100% his.

But now, after witnessing that car crash mid late season + their treatment of Scolari back in 09. It's obvious the players aren't good enough as players, and will continuing causing a problem to managers they don't personally like rather than remain professional.
