Hello. I have been in a good mood lately but i am afraid i am going to have a moan in true spurs fans styleee.
i have just learnt that apparantly this england game is taking place next week?
now, thats in between when we play arsenal and man united... and we have some of our most important players in the squad...
now forgive me for being negative, but i can just see injuries happening.
now the timing of this game is absolutely ridiculous... right in amongst the busy season with CC final, FA cup rounds and all the european games... do fifa and uefa possess brains?
international football as a whole is a complete waste of time imo, but i have no problem with having tournaments over the summer, but during the season, we pay the players so they should only be playing club football.
if england or other countries want to have central contracts like in cricket then that should be the only time they can take them away from the clubs.
i am fed up of casting my eye over international match reports shyyting myself that one of our players gets injured. it will eventually be the death of me.
we pay the players so during the season they should not be risked playing for countries. football is not like rugby and cricket, which are geared around the international game.
i personally see it like this... i pay over a grand every season watching spurs, and i dont see why i should be robbed of seeing some of our best players because they have picked up injuries playing for their countries during the season.
while i am having a moan can i bring up the situation regarding bale wanting to play in the olympics. is he having a facking laugh or what? i assume the club will put their foot down?? !!! the olympics are in august... when the prem starts.. so he should be in pre season training playing for us.. not playing for team GB against certain sides who will be kicking him to shreds. we pay his wages he should be at spurs like everyone else.
England v Holland - ridiculous !

You only have two players in the squad even if they were to get injured, you have strength in depth at Spurs.

Groovy you have one player in the Dutch team what if he gets injured talk about lack of depth at Arsenal.

Completely agree, what a daft time to have a meaningless friendly. What is more stupid, is the International friendly the midweek before the season starts.
Do you remember when England played Netherlands at WHL in the midweek before the season started, and David James, who had made a big transfer that summer, broke his leg in the game and was knackered before he'd made his debut for his new club.
Unbelievable

We don't have strength in the striker positions,we should have borrowed one like you did.

While I understand your concerns Chronic we've only got Walker & Parker in the squad. I would suspect Richards will start anyway, so that leaves us with just Scotty to worry about.
As sea-the-stars said - Arsenal fans should be a lot more worried about the timing of this friendly.
As you know I do enjoy international football and although the timing's far from ideal we do need friendlies like this to try and form a team.
Terry and Ferdinand can no longer be relied on at the back, we need to sort out a first choice CB pairing for the Euros. It's great to see Pearce in charge and putting faith in the youngsters - it's what the team needs and could even see him get the job permanently if they do well.
This could be a blessing in disguise
The olympics? I can't see that anyone will care that much to be kicking the shiyte out of Bale

exactly,. the only reason for this game is the fa making back some money on wembley stadium so they need to sell some tickets.
If you do build your stadium, i guarantee you'll be hosting concerts there to pay for it
