If Pompey,as reported, dont make it to the end of the season their results so far will be scrubbed out and the league table adjusted as below:
1 Southampton P31 pts58
2 Hammers 29 54
3 Reading 30 54
4 Boro 30 52
5 Brum 30 51
6 Blackpool 30 51
7 Cardiff 30 49
8 Hull 30 48
9 Burnley 31 47
10 Brighton 31 47
11 Leeds 31 45
12 Leicester 30 43
13 Palace 30 42
14 Direby 31 39
15 Dingles 30 39
16 Watford 30 37
17 Posh 29 34
18 Tractors 29 34
19 Millwall 31 28
20 Brizzle 31 30
21 Florist 30 28
22 Coventry 31 25
23 Rovers til i die 29 24
Ipswich would suffer most as they took 6 points off Pomey.
Of the clubs in the bottom half, Bristol come a point closer to us while Posh,Watford and Millwall come 3 points closer.
There would of course then be only two clubs to go down so our position would improve as we would only have to overtake two clubs instead of the three as it stands right now.
We would have two games in hand over Millwall, Brizzle and Cov and one over Florist.
While i dont wish any ill towards Pompey i was intersted to see how it would look.
PS: Not too busy at work this morning.
IF POMPEY DONT MAKE IT..................

Did anyone spot my deliberate mistake?
Brizzle 19th with 30 pts and The Wall 20th with 28.

If this does occur does that mean that only 2 clubs will be relegated from the championship?

Only reason I ask (I know you've wrote it hound) as when livingston were demoted 3 divisions the scots leagues still had the same number go down as previous but just 1 extra going up so 3 instead of 2 went up. Could it be 4 come up from league 1?

Well i would say yes.
Probably still three to come up to get the championship numbers back to 24 clubs and the same as usual from L2 to L1.
Then either no relegation from L2 or two up from Blue Square Prem to keep the numbers right in all four divisions.

Azza, possibly could be 4 promoted from L1, i dont really know for sure but i think the first option is probably the best one.
