Displaying your honours as medals will get you locked up!

Not sure about LFC stepping and and displaying his medals in his honours

Neon, the club should have a charity that is geared towards helping the past players of the club. To many are left half crippled in later life. Don't forget that before the introduction of the premier league, whilst the players where on good money it wasn't like today! We supporters go on about are history and everything that happened back then. Yet some players are left claimimg disability benefits and living on the bread line!

I watched Tommy Smith getting an interview on Wednesday night and he mentioned the old days and Bob paisley - he mentioned winning in by the European cup and what Bob said - it's class....

"This is the second time I've beaten the Germans here... the first time was in 1944. I drove into Rome on a tank when the city was liberated. If anyone had told me I'd be back here to see us win the European Cup 33 years later I'd have told them they were mad! But I want to savour every minute of it... which is why I'm not having a drink tonight. I'm just drinking in the occasion."

All I do is mention that the medals will move away from the club!

Something like the David France collection should be done at every club to keep the history for future generations to see/enjoy

He has done before! Even had his benifits stopped.

Really sad to see when this happens.

A lot of old United players have done the same. Nobby Stiles were bought by the club, but like Tommy, Nobby said he did not have to sell them.

He did it to provide a bit of needed finance to his siblings family. Probably the same with Tommy.

Great player as well.

He was keeping his medals at a bank so it's not as if he was seeing them all the time or getting any use out of them. Best to sell now and get himself and his family some security.
