Just a thought...

If we sell Gradel (for somewhere in the region of two bob and a pickled egg if the reports are true) and also let Snoddy go, where are all our assists and goals going to come from next season?

I only ask as it's kind of important that we average 3 goals a game, what with our defense.

Koppite i have checked out a few Blackpool forums on other sites as their forum on here is dead and they all seem to suggest that they are well rid and that he is a carp keeper only slightly better than Gilks who replaced him when he was injured. So why is he good enough for us.Like you said you have never seen him so what makes you think you are right and they are wrong or do you just like spewing nonsense with no idea of an original thought other than what Bates/SG tell you

Jonty you can be optuse to the point of dumb but my point was there can be more than one reason for a player only playing 3 games in a season. You naturally chose to infer it was because he wasn't good enough when, in fact, he was injured.

LDL..I didn't say he was good I said I was expecting him to be good and the reason for that is I trust our managers judgement of a player who has played for him rather than the judgement of a bunch of WUMs who haven't seen the guy play and who wouldn't know a keeper if he stood there with a sign around his neck reading .......

GOOD PLAYER!.

Batty.

I would have thought it obvious that you shouldn't judge any player until you've seen him and not at all unless you understand the game so in yours and Jontys case is not at all.

Koppite were you born an idiot or do you just practice a lot.According to you most people on here are wums and all the Blackpool fans who didn't rate him either are wums too.So what does this tell you when hardly anyone agrees with you.Are you always right and they are always wrong or is the truth you are just an idiot who likes to bask in their own deluded little world where you are classed as a wise old sage and not the clown we all know you to be

Koppite, you really do take the cake. I keep forgetting you played in goal for England. And that makes us all
idiots. And you, well, a genius. You really are a
Ken-Clone.

You Sir, are the very definition of 'Blind Faith.'

Koppie, is that the same judgement that landed:
Collins, Bruce, O'Brien, McCartney, Livermore, Paynter,
Man City's third team Columbian, made Kilkenny an ever-present in the first eleven and left Bannon on the bench? Oh, and got rid of Kasper? Perhaps?

I played in goal until I was 18 including a spell with Leeds United juniors so I do understand the technique of goalkeeping and you got your knowledge from where??? Playing Subuteo with Jonty ! Just as I thought.

No. I didn't reach the pinnacle like you. But, I played the
game. As did pretty much every male with a pulse growing up in England - it's our pass time you numpty.

When was you 18 how many years ago was that? 50-60? I think technique of goalkeeping has changed.

Yes and the sum total of all that work took us from 5 defeats on the trot culminating in the defeat to Histon in the cup whilst we were still in the 3rd div to 7th in the 2nd within 30months.

Sounds good to all true Leeds fans ! What does it sound like to a WUM?

MeMe...I'll treat this as a serious question and tell you that the ball is definitely different and has a tendancy to dip as it is slowing which is something we didn't have to cope with and, although the authorities assure us to the contrary, the ball is definitely lighter.

All that being said angles are still angles, basics like you should never be beaten at your near post, when on a one to one with an attacker stand tall and don't commit yourself, when to clear your defence after a set piece, the need to control your area and definitely your 6 yard box and the need to accurately distribute the ball hasn't changed.

I read Goalkeeping manuals from as far back as Gil Merrick through to Alan Hodgkinson and Ron Springett and have watched the game for over 50 years learning all the time. So I know a bit about the subject but most of all I know not to 2nd guess the manager because he has all the information which the fan doesn't.
