Any details come out yet about Forest....

Future yet?

I heard, and yes a totally unreliable source (buts its all i have seen so far tbh), that the solicitors acting on behalf of Nigel Doughtys estate are going to demand £50m from forest. I cant see it myself, but just wondering if any forests fans can add any more.

The only thing is (even as a derby fan, it concerns me) is the club knows people are concerned about the club. Yet all they say last week, is that the club will issue a statement in two weeks. IF forest had nothing to be concerned about, then surely they would know that far earlier, and could have at least said that at the time.

If you have ever had to act as executor of someone's will you will know that even a simple will takes time and effort to execute.

I would think that Nigel Doughty's would be more complex than most and we will have to be patient.

I would give no credence whatsoever to the rumour you have heard. Nigel loved the club obviously and therefore would not want to jeopardise its future and I would expect that his family knowing of his love for the club would want to respect that.

He said often enough that he wasn't expecting the money back.

With players out of contract at season end, the extant value of the club amounts to the registrations of those player's under contract, the academy and training ground/other facilities [assuming the club own them] and any value attached to the name which should be under copywright. That is to say the club own the Intelectual Property Rights to their own name.

If that amounts to £20M I would be surprised. Therefore the best way of reducing the families loss is to sell the club as a Football League Club and preferably as a Championship side.

For the more intelectually challenged that means not bankrupting us........................................................[illson! ]

I've heard that Derby are up for sale, and the owners want £50. This is from an unreliable source though, so it might be £100.
