Warnock & Doughty

So, I was interested to read Warnock's comments about how he had received a call from Doughty on the day he died, and that Warnock had returned the call and left a voice mail.

This was the day before we were due to play Derby and at the height of fans dissatisfaction with Cotternil. I wonder if Nigel was putting out the feelers ?

I guess it could just have been a chat about Nigel's son who is in the QPR reserves, but we will never know. RIP Nigel.

Sorry to spoil your theory but it was the other way round.

“I phoned Nigel on the day he died,” said Warnock. “I left a voice message and got one back from him. Hearing of his death shook me.”
