I wish AA all the best. When he joind us we were drawing blanks and struggling to qualify for the CL. He has been exceptional especially when he's asked to play in his weaker position. He's so much better for Russia. That being said I think now was the right time to let him go. He even admitted to himself more than once that he'd lost a yard of pace and that his performances hadn't been good enough. That's another reason I like him, he cuts through the nonsense. His goal against Barcelona was legendary even more so than the 4 against Liverpool. What a match that was. IMO it was the best game of all time.

"That being said I think now was the right time to let him go."

Right time? Really? You mean, right after the transfer window closes, when we already have a threadbare, injury-prone squad with a tradition of having no directness, inability to take chances and of suffering injury crises in the second half of the season?
Arsene, is that you?

I'm gonna miss that meerkat
The goal against barca is my fondest fooballing memory of late and its all thanks to Andrei.
He will never play for us again, so good luck Andrei.

I hated and loved him, if that makes any sense .

He wasn't getting games when gervinho was at acon, now that he is back he wouldn't make the bench because ox had overtaken him. He would offer little to nothing if we had kept him. Also his wages are off the bill and we get payed £1m for nothing really.

It makes zero sense at this time, absolutely zero sense. It's on loan which means his value will depreciate (due to contract running down)
Arsenals squad is a little more threadbare especially as Henry has departed too.
Then there is no chance of bringing anyone else in.
If they sent him on loan at the same time as Henry coming you could see the logic. But now just to save 1m on wages ?
Penny safe pound foolish.

Well we have Gervinho and Ox who can play on the left and Arteta can also play there in an emergency. Admittedly I would of liked reinforcements in Jan but it makes no sense keeping AA if we can't trust him.

Arhavin's 4th goal against Liverpool in the 90th minute was right up there with the best. The fact that we still managed to concede an equalizer after that would have told him more about the limitations of the team he just joined than anything ever could.

Well look at it this way...
Arsenal will save 1m in wages but will have a reduced transfer fee for him. So say that evens out...
They then are not able to count on his services for the remainder of the season.
The question is, how much is arshavin worth right now to Arsenal. If he is worth more than 3m then to be without that player for the remainder of the season is a poor decision.
