It would appear that last weekends farse had no effect on firing the team up for todays game.
OR
Did the team want to show the home fans how ************** they are.
So how's fault is it?
The players YES.
The manager YES.
The honeymoon period for Derek McInnes is now over and it appears the seven year itch may be approching.
I don't normally get angry but I went last Saturday (i live nr Peterborough) and it was (i can't say because the language would not be tolerated on this site) rubbish.
If I performed at work as badly as some of the over payed excuses for football players have recently I would be on the dole.
Can anybody say when our next point will come from because I can't.
We are going down, but not with a bang not even with a whimper.
Also forget a new stadium. Look at Darlington
No Effect

IMO the board are to blame..
Bring in a manager with no experience at this level what so ever, cheap option.
Handled the Nicky Maynard situation in what can be described as pathetic, "you sign a contract or we put you on the market" Why not just keep him till the end of his contract? As soon as that happened he became unsettled and so to did some of the brainless fans.
1.6m we got for him, it will cost us more if we go down.
I agree, we don't have the best players, but enough IMO with the right backing to have kept us up.
All we needed was sureing up in defence and a creative midfield player......
Mess all round.

The decline started long before McInnes, it goes back to the signing of James, what the hell is he doing at our club on inflated wages. We lost two better keepers since his arrival in Weal and Henderson, Gerken in my opinion is a sound No 1.
The club has never recovered since the appointments of Coppell and James. These were so called big name recruitments to entice fans to purchase season tickets, unfotunately they were both past thier best sale by date.
OK James pulls off the occasional top class save, but how many goals has he cost us this season, the mans an expensive clown we cant afford. Im sure Nicky Maynard would still be with us if he had been offered the money that James is on.

Weale left because Basso didn't decide to refuse his contract until after he left which was 12 months before David James was signed. I read somewhere that Weale had said if he had known that Basso was going to refuse to sign a contract he would have stayed knowing he would have been first choice keeper as he knew GJ's reaction to someone who doesn't want to commit to playing for him.
Losing Henderson was a blow I agree but for me Gerken is only slightly better than a back up keeper at championship level if we are going to really make waves in the championship we need a better keeper than we currently have , I still think Smithies would be the answer if he is still playing second fiddle to the current Huddersfield first choice, provided he has recovered from his injury of course.

I have to disagree with you there Onefor. In fact, McInnes wasnt a cheap option as we had to pay compensation for him, bringing in a Burley would have been the cheap option.
You shouldnt need experience in a certian league to be able to manage a team. It certainly didnt hinder Lambert or Coyle nor has it hindered De Canio in League Two.
As someone else said, the rot had set in long before he arrived and Im convinced he will sort it out but it will take time. His job hasnt got any easier by the ever increasing injury list.
I do agree, as I have said for years, that the defence needs improvement but i hope, when he has a chance to have a run in the side, that McManus will be the captain we badly miss. I think now McInnes will have also seen the real Fontaine, he has been at fault for 3 out of the last 5 goals conceded at home.
Its gonna take alot of hard work and patience to get to where GJ had us so we need to knuckle down and get behind the man who is regarded as one of Britains brightest young talents who will no doubt go on to better things, hopefully with us.

Yes I agree the defence is poor and something needs to be done about it, Fontaine has gone back to his old ways but he has shown he can play much better is it just he can not play on the right side of defence or is he just dropping back into the same old bad habits he got into before. How he can be such a Jeckle and Hyde player is beyond me when DM came in and handed him the captains arm band he suddenly looked a player then he goes back to playing rubbish as soon as he is offered his new contract is that the missing factor I wish I knew and I suspect that DM wishes he knew as well.
What has shown up during this season is how much Elliott brings to the team it's not that he himself is the most skillful or talented player but he makes other players play better when he is in the side and we really miss him when he isn't there. Considering Davis was playing his first competative match in 2 years I thought he did reasonably well at least going by the commentary he did but as I lost player for the last part of the match could someone who was there please tell me if the lack of first team matches for so many of the squad played any part in the capitulation at the end of the game?
