I wasn't able to watch the match, as had a game myself. Any reports, good or bad? I guess a clean sheet is good, and i have a hunch that we will improve with Bent injured and thus Gabby up top with Bannan or Ireland just behind.

After the match at Wigan today that muppet of a manager of yours said that Villas crap play and Bents injury had been caused by the state of the pitch. He also said that this was because the Rugby League side played on the pitch last weekend.
Just to set the record straight the Rugby side played away at Bradford last weekend.
An old tactict, divert attention from your own shortcomings. Cheers.

The pitch was a disgrace, and so were the Wigan crowd, but it doesn't excuse how awful villa were today

These type of morons are always slating Villa fans. Why is that? Why don't you do one you complete joke of a human being. And learn to spell.
This is my take on things. We're a team that is used to finishing at the very least in the top half of the table. Despite missing so many players for large periods last year and Houllier implementing a completely new style of play we managed to finish 9th and beat teams like City, Arsenal and Liverpool. Even under O'Leary who had absolutely no funds we still finished in the top half twice in three seasons under him including sixth in the first season.
I honestly can't think of a worst manager than McLeish since I started supporting Villa (which was in 1994). Graham Taylor was pretty useless and is certainly on a par with him, but I would even say Taylor was better. O'Leary was better than many people give him credit for and in some ways I wish he had been given Lerner's money, not MON. O'Leary was certainly better than McLeish. Gregory, Little, Atkinson and Houllier were all miles better than McLeish.
Yes, there is little money - something I pray will change in the future if Lerner has the decency to sell up to a more ambitious man who can take Villa back to where we belong - but McLeish is still utterly incompetent and useless. He left Ireland and N'Zogbia on the bench for the second game running despite their performance when they came on against City. He insists on bringing on Heskey every game which infuriates me because he usually brings him on in games where we are drawing or losing and we all know Heskey can't hit a cow's **** with a banjo. He always plays the jokers at the back despite the fact they make mistakes over and over and over again. Ok, yesterday they kept a clean sheet for the first time in God knows how long, but if Wigan could actually finish we would have once again been going home with no clean sheet.
It's got to be squeaky bum time for McLeish. Previous managers have either resigned or been sacked when Villa have been in a position similar to now. There is no sign we are getting better and will start winning. Quite simply, if you fail to win at Blackburn, your time must surely be nearly up. I really ******** hope that is the case, because we are in deep trouble if we once again fail to win a game.
