Has anybody ever caught one? And if you have, did you get a belt off it?How many volts are they?

The only reason I ask is I was wondering about an alternative to wind farms which are a blot on the landscape.
So I was thinking of going down the electric eel farm route as a way of creating re-newable energy.
I am CURRENTly putting my business plan together in order to obtain government grants.
Any response should be addressed to EELectricity UK Ltd.
Thanks

I've never caught an eel I'm afraid... Let alone an electric one.
I used to set traps on a lake I used to live on, nothing though... Saw a big Zander in there once.
