most of the first team for the cup game at Stevenage, to keep them fresh for the Arsenal game worked a treat. All it did was saved them for a drubbing from their nearest and dearest, and gave them an extra tricky cup game to negotiate.
On a more serious note, why do Spurs play so differently away from home come to at home. The difference in set up, pace, winning the midfield, defending properly, attacking on both flanks is quite worrying. Away from home I am never overly confident of picking up any points, at home I am always confident of beating ny team, and that will include United this weekend.
Are the players under different instructions, or is it just a mental thing with the players. Yes, I know we have one or two good away wins, but against the top sides invariably we never seem to get over the line. Against Newcastle winning 2-1 with 5 minutes to go, conceeded, against City came back to 2-2, still managed to lose the game, yesterday 2-0 up after the best part fo the first half, capitulated in the space of half an hour, same at United. Liverpool away was the way to play against the top sides, defend properly, and if necessary park the bus.
Our lead in third place is still a healthy one, and just reward for playing in the main really well this season, I just feel that with a bit more planning some of those defeats and draws should have been turned into more points.
On a brigher note, the bookies still have us 1/12 for a top four finish, and Arsenal 6/4.
Anyway Harry`s master plan to rest

I think we need to start as many games as possible with Lennon and Bale out wide and Bale staying there!
I accept the argument that he can be marked out of the game to a large extent if he stayts wide but surely this creates chances and space in the middle for the likes of Modric and VdV?

I think that as well, Harry has done great for us, but he can sometimes tinker a bit too much. Keep it simple Harry.
