Au Revoir Tommy....

It's official..................I still feel this is a bad move on our part.\

On the other hand, Tommy has landed on his feet!

also, I think this is a bad move personally, but I think Meggo must have some cards up his sleeve, he's letting players go who he thinks aren't up to it or who are past their best for us. Tommy's gone stagnant the last 2 years and I like the lad, I hope he fulfills the potential he showed a few seasons ago.

I think the next week could be very interesting indeed

But first and foremost..... Good luck Tommy, you've been a loyal servant!

Good to see that the Owls site isn't up to date yet!

Our loss, Donny's gain... good luck Tommy. No doubt we will be bringing in a 33 year old to replace you. You know, one of these players that many talk about "to get us out of League 1"

Heavenly, I don't think anyone has suggested that only 33 year olds will get us out of League 1, but I can just as easily say that a team of 22 year olds is just as likely to fail. What is needed is a mix of youth and experience, its not rocket science, every team does it.

My point has always been, Megson will sign whoever he thinks will give us the best shot to get promoted next year, not in two or three years, but next year. If that is 33 year olds then fine, if not then fine, just get us promoted!!

Rovers will probably play him at centre back..

..be player of the season..

..Man City or Chelsea then buy him for millions of silly quids..

....

..just our luck..

..just hope there is a sell on written into the transfer

St Charles....... yet again, i totally agree, some people just blow what you say all out of proportion.

Lets pick all the negatives out of the positives!!!

We were all warned that there would have to be a clearout before new players could be brought in. We all are aware of the wage cap, so why all the moaning. Totally agree that we need more experienced players, and we still have a good crop of youngsters for the future in O'Donnell, Beevers, Madine, Coke, Jameson, Modest and Palmer......so why all the alarm bells? With JJ possibly on the move and Teale starting to show his age, we defo need a couple of nifty wingers and we could sure use a new hitman (although I still feel we're about to see a much fitter and improved C. Morrison) and we really need a good playmaker in midfield! Personally I'm looking forward to a few decent signings within the next few days (got that gut feeling)

I think this is a great move for Tommy and I'm sure SoD will get the best out of him. Having come through our academy, I would love to see him take advantage of this fresh start and develope into the player Laws always reckoned he could be. I'd much rather this happen and get a few quid for him than see him stagnate on our bench until the cows come home. He's a good lad and a staunch wednesdayite. All the best Tommy

It's a shame that we couldnt get the best out of him, its a great move for him, playing in a decent side and if given a chance Im confident that he'll be attracting intrest from biggerteams if successful there.

All the best Tommy & thanks for your unquestionable loyalty
