I really hope what I saw on Saturday was not a sign of things to come. I'm talking about players and their positions. Bruce at right back? White on the right wing? McCormack on the left wing? Why can't we just play our players in their natural positions?
Why play Bruce at right back when we have a natural and consistant right back in Connolly? Why did Grayson, and now Warnock, persist in trying to play White on the wing? And why play McCormack on the wing when he's our leading scorer?
The only change I did agree with was playing Snodgrass in "the hole". I just hope this is early tinkering by Warnock and he will soon revert to a much more balanced and natural-looking side.

Maybe just getting to know the players and seeing where they can play. White did well for Oldham last season on the right and also plays on the wing for Ireland U21s. I don't think he can play there but if he's just looking to see how to get the best out of the team.

He's not got a pre-season to test formations etc.... so with seemingly nothing to lose, i believe as said above he's just trying players out in differing positions.
