DANNY WEBBER

Tuscan, Warnock has said that he wants to go for the playoff this season and that he wants quality players in to do that job. So is Danny Webber that kind of quality we are to expect? As LIW said, if SG had sign this player a lot of fans on here would have been on his back about it. So why is the fact that Warnock has signed him any different?

Norway, completely agree mate, he's not the sort of promotion push player on paper, but in answer to your question, SG played this rubbish loan card often for us, to no avail, the difference is NW has got many teams promoted in the past so he must know what he's doing (heres hoping )

agreed though on paper he's not what we need if we were to go for the top 6 this season.

my suggestion was, this isn't a 'panic' signing as you suggested because there is no need for us to panic, in fact we are in that limbo of the mid table really (assuming the teams around us get points with thier games in hand)

To be honest I cant say I am happy with it.

However if he is been brought in as a winger then I cn understand it.

Wage for wage I would imagine he is on less then what Townsend was on so I cant complain on that.

Still, it dosent exactly fill you with hope for the rest of the season

Having played for Portsmouth he might just be up for it against the saints! No love lost there me thinks.

Maybe he will add balance or maybe he will be an impact sub.?

Nice to see Paynter scored 2 today. Looks like NW like him as he was on the bench last weekend.

The Scratching Shed survey seems to favour the acquisition, over 600 saying he's worth the risk along with a fair few saying it's a good signing.
