Scotland had a manager who could pick a team...
McGregor
Hutton Wilson Mulgrew Wallace
Forrest Adam Brown Snodgrass
McCormack Fletcher
That would be a very decent Scottish team, certainly stronger than any Levein has/will ever put out, and furthermore doesnt include any of the so-called Scots who only play for Scotland because of the grand-parent rule (which, by the way, i am not a huge fan of). Its a pity we'll probably never see Levein go with a team like this.
If only...

We are a 6th rate nation these days. Avoiding bottom of the group must be our priority.

My bad didn't even know that

haha fair enough, although i agree with you about rhodes actually, he'll certainly be a scotland regular soon enough (or should be at least!)

McCormack is certainly a better player than Miller, Mackie and has been proven at a higher level than Rhodes. Him and Fletcher is a no brainer but Levein is an atricious manager. Won't happen.

I actually rate mackie. The times ive seen him he looks good. Fletcher is our best striker but typical scotland we seem push away the players who have genuine quality.

Is Fletcher not playing simply because of a fall out with Levein?

thats would appears to be the case, ridiculous if true, we cant afford to have one of our best players unavailable because of petty fall-outs!

No...he's doing Porridge

Scott Brown is not the best central midfielder. If DF was back he would occupy that postion and Broon shunted right - though Snodgrass does play at a better level so he should get the nod

McGregor
Hutton Caldwell Berra Mulgrew
Morrison Fletcher Adam Dorrans
Miller Fletcher
For me, that would be our best side if all were available for selection, but of course, they're not.
Admitadly, the central defensive pairing is up for debate.
