McJudas quit Blues on June 12... we were all over the moon.
Hougton joined Blues on June 22... we were all over the moon.
Now its the end of June 28, is there any progress?
Not much, we still have the same squad that McJudas left... apart from those gotten rid off in the clearout.
We have not bought any new players apart from the ones McJudas told Pannu he wanted before he deserted us.
So what has Hougton done in the past week apart from tell us he expects players to leave and that he expects a tough season ahead ?
By now Bruce would have signed at least 3 players...
Barry Fry at least 50! 49 strikers from any place he could get them and an attacking midfielder.
One week in charge and Hougton has apparently done nothing apart from sing the boards song.
Is he another yes man?
In contrast, all our competitors in the Championship are snapping up players at will.
Actions speak louder than words... when will we see some action !?
Dont get me wrong, to a degree I am playing the devils advocat here but I am getting irritated at Blues treading water while every one else is doing some thing...
We have about 5 weeks before the start of the new season, in that time we have to offload all of the traitors, replace them with our new heroes and get them trained up and playing as a tight unit.
It isnt gonna happen is it ?
Is hope dwindling???

Bit early to be getting worried.
Most players are still on holiday to be fair, most things happen when players are back for pre-season training and all the contracts are up until the end of june.
We still dont know which players are staying and which are going CH is going to have to speak to a few individually and then hes not going to know where to strengthen until he knows.
So just give him time im sure it will all sort itself out.
The window doesnt shut until the end of august.

It's only been six days! Besides, all of "Ecks" signings were free transfers.
It is quite obvious to me we need to sell to buy. Once Gardners gone, and maybe Dann and Jerome, you'll see Hughton closing in on a few targets. Worry not.

I'm not worried, I'm very angry.
I'm was .it over the moon at the departure of one of the best m!nagers we have ever had, neither were 'all' Blues fans. The discerning ones knew it signalled a big problem.
No metter hiw good Chris Hughton can be, he is being given a poison challice. The situation here is entirely different to the one he dealt with at Newcastle.
My anger is not pointed at anyone in particular, because I think I understand why each party has, and is, acting as they are. But the naivity of our 'new to top flight football' owners is a major problem.
They are driving the disassembly of the entire squad, because they have become financially exposed, and now are coming to terms with the fiscal realities that our previous owners knew & handled very well.
Hughton has my total support, and I will be there at every game as usual, but I will see our new manager as a god if he gets us promotion of any sort this season and if we are not totally embarrassed in Europe.
You do not start from scratch & succeed in the first season.
Gloomy times at Stan's I feel.

P.s As for lack of activity, that is a strange thought. CH starts from scratch less than a week ago and someone thinks it worth a comment to say no signings yet???
That displays the lack of understanding that blights this club far too much.

Patience guys!
How busy are other clubs
Things will start to pick up in July as it always does, thats when the Window opens up propper, would you rather us panic buy and panic sell.
Hughton needs time to look at the sqaud, to then talk to the players and try and see if he can get some to keep, he needs to find out whos going so he can plan his spending.
Relegation does mean we have to cut costs, we will have players who do not want to stay, do we keep them here and have unhappy players or do we sell them on and make a profit.
Off course not much of what we make will go back into the club because we have a £40M black hole, what do we do, does Yeung foot that out his own pocket like Man City owners foot their losses? Can Yeung even afford that.
Or does Yeung run up debts on our club instead.
Bottom line is we have to make cuts accordingly.
We are a Championship club and we should concerntrate on that, rather than dwelling too much on why we went down.
There are reasons for that, and the fans are split on that, i frankly feel McLeish's excuse and what the Media Circus also states is really a joke.
I mean no backing financially Oh yet we was what 3rd/4th biggest spenders, of which most that cash was sat on our bench or reserves.
Ok Yeung should not have pledged £40M but maybe thats taken out of context i.e is a Zigic £6M of £40M or £16M of £40M (inc wages) thats all in the past now, its not our fault our club can not go and spend £13M on players and £60K+ a weeks wages.
Its ok for McLeish he does not have to deal with the fall out or problems he took the easy way out! Its ok for the players as some of them can get away and some seemed to be lifelong commited Bluenoeses who then want out as soon as the first Prem Club comes sniffing.
Its only US the fans and the BOARD who have to now deal with the situation we have, and its about time we all Stuck togther and backed each other and the New Manager.
Unless we all happy to become like what happened with Sheff Utd over next few years.... if so then so be it.

A good post Kid. I'm with most of what you say. Particularly the sticking together. Let's turn a new leaf as fans, stop whinging and moaning at every turn and put our heart and as much of our wealth that we can afford into this club going forwards. I think the treatment of players, managers and owners of this club by a section of our fans has caused us to be worse off than we could have been. So from now on.............................All togther now!

End of the day yes it hurts, we was on the verge of becoming stable, had we stayed up this season and rebuilt a few areas where players was gonna be leaving even if its not £10M+ players i think we would have become a stable club.
In the Prem the fact we are in Europe could open doors for players who otherwise would not want to be part of our club.
2 SEASONs ago had we got a Europe place aswell as 9th then, surely Last season we would have been able to pull of more of those players McLeish wanted who would not think our club was big enough, maybe a N'Zogbia would have not wanted a Sunderland etc.
That Europe place would have done well for us attracting players and also interest from abroard i.e China.
It wont have much effect now we are in the Championship with a sqaud by kick off that will not be able to compete or do well in Group Stages.
Ontop of that, we will have to sell our best players which we have a good core sqaud to build upon, made worse that Ferguson and Carr etc will be too old after this season and thats even more rebuilding.
We potentially have gone backwards to the time when we had the sqaud that Bruce first took us up with.
Also we do not know how stable a club can be under Yeung, we need to hope that his plans was all based on our Premiership Status.
But end of the day, before the days of Bruce, before the days of Francis (and Cup final, and Play offs) how many of us Bluenoses know the facts that before then and after the 70's Blues was not a big sucsessfull club in fact we was a midtable Championship Club
How many of us started supporting Blues because we was a Prem Club, or because of our sucsess prior to 2001 of which there was little.
So come rain or shine, be it the Prem, the Championship or back to League 1 we should all be proud Bluenoses.
We may be fickle (our years in the Prem made this worse)
BUT NOT A SINGLE ONE OF US can be called Plastic Fans
