No not the popular Kevin Costner feature film, but free travel and a free pie for anyone going to Wolves...
http://www.rovers.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10303~2628030,00.html
I think the main points to be discussed here are:
- when will this lack of communication end?
- will us fans continue to be left in the dark and put up with this disgusting treatment?
- is this actually another broken promise...?

The supporter's trust takeover could just as
easily be a smokescreen in order to attract the attention of more heavyweight parties. Would make sense.

I mean really, come on OOJW and B&WH, I am heavily criticised for countering some of the ridiculous posts on here and labelled the new Vinjay, but honestly just look at the two posts above...
Yes, from what Venky's are actually doing they do have the fans interest at heart, season ticket prices have remained low, deals are consistently offered to help keep costs down for fans seeking to attend matches.
In terms of letting players go, Phil Jones was inevitable, Samba refused to play any more and it had been coming for a couple of seasons. Other than that, no other player sales are really of any importance apart from possibly Emerton, but he was leaving this summer anyway and asked to go back to Oz early.
More money has been spent on players since their takeover than we've seen in a number of seasons, opinions on whether that money has been well spent is up for debate, but the intent to improve and develop the squad is quite clear.
Sensible decisions have been made with regards to wage structure and sustainability, hence to Salgado and Roberts issues.
Appointing Kean permanently is the biggest mistake they've made and it is unknown whether that will have proved a very costly mistake just yet, other than a few misguided remarks in the media they've been fine.
You are happy to support wild speculation about a Supporters Trust, when all told it is just a jumped up business man and a few locals trying to make a name for themselves. Secretive meetings, hoping the club is relegated to aid their takeover bid, I mean come on. You'd trust people like Wild and Mullan to manage 50m from Sky, player sales and transfers. How on earth do you imagine people like this could afford our wages and be able to spend tens of millions on players, not only impossible but also hilarious.

Not sure why my posts were so ridiculous MaccyT.
Venkys have shown total disregard for the fans by refusing to communicate with them other than fleeting soundbites.
"A few misguided remarks in the media" is a ridiculous understatement to say the least!
I won't argue about lowering season ticket prices and offering free travel, but surely those incentives have been offered due to the fact that fan's attendances/faith in the Rovers have dropped dramatically as a result of our new owners utter incompetence and dishonesty in the first place!
I'd be happy to buy my own pies and pay for my own travel if they'd managed to build on what was already a commendable infrastructure when they bought the club.
As for Glen Mullan, I wouldn't trust him to tie my shoelaces, let alone mount a takeover, but fair do's to him for refusing to accept the travesty of continual slipshod management from the top down.

What is this myth of communication, please tell me.
Does Sheik Mansour talk to City fans?
Does Ambramavich talk to Chelsea fans?
Does Gartside talk to Bolton fans?
Does Fernandes talk to QPR fans?
Does Whelan speak to Wigan fans?
Do the Glazer speak to United fans?
No, they all offer the odd sound bite of something usually positive to keep fans happy.

All the other teams have a chief-executive, who are expected to protect their manager, sheild him from some of the flack, speak to the fans when it matters.
All the other teams have a chairman.
In general, all the owners above have attended more than half a game per season.
None of the teams above operate a policy of their manager having to fill in monumental gaps of knowledge to the fans, often with total fiction: 'Junior will put pen to paper in 24 hours', or by doing baffling things (flying out to Canada himself)

Well what do you think Paul Hunt is doing...?
Didn't Hughes fly out to Germany personally to arrange to Santa Cruz deal?
It is not unknown for a Manager to personally handle transfer dealings and travel.

By employing professionals. A professional manager and professional club management. Neither of which we have at the moment which befit the club's current position.

With what money do you propose they do this with? They can't even raise enough to buy a reasonable stake in the club let alone buy out Venky's, thus, they are hoping the club does get relegated.
Which does then provide quite an obvious link between Mullan organising the protests, all a bit shady if you ask me.
Even if they did take over the club, all of the Sky money goes on wages, debts, infrastructure etc, we generate little to no revenue from tickets and merchandise. We couldn't buy any players without selling them.

The Fans thing is clearly stupid, deluded, mismanaged horsesh!t, much like Venkys tenure!
Maccy, you must admit, the Venkys decisions have to date been 99% terrible!
