Un bloody believable.......Meggo's been given the boot. So, who do we want to take over from him and how will this affect our prospects of promotion? Good luck Gary and thanks for getting us to where we are today including that great result on Sunday.

There's way more to this than results.....the 3 defeats merely gave MM the opportunity.
The timing stinks though & if we don't go up then I'm not looking forward to the reaction.
Not to mention, the new bloke is walking into a lose/lose situation. The slightest mistake & he'll be murdered for it. If we go up then he'll get little credit & if we don't he'll get all the blame.
All this decision has done is heaped undue pressure on the players & ruined what was a pretty good feeling about the whole club for the majority!

Milan hasn't got this far as a businessman on accident and I don't pretend to know much about the world of.business, which is what football ultimately is.
But this decision is not the one that a sound businessman would make. This is obviously about a personal clash which is bonkers. Sure it helps, but you don't have to like someone to work with them. Do you think all the players are best chums?
The decision alone would be baffling but the timing of it has compounded the fans anger/bemusement.
We now know that had we played any other side last weekend that Megson would have been sacked a week ago. MM had made his mind up but even he knew he couldn't risk revealing his hand then.
Mandaric has to have someone all but rubber stamped because if he hasn't then he will be wiping a lot of egg off his face.
He may not have been to everyone's liking but I for one am gutted Megson has gone. He gave us last Sunday and a much improved team as well who have been a near permanent fixture in the top 6. His remit from Mandaric was promotion, we would like it to be automatic but it doesn't have to be. What else could he do?
Thanks Gary and best of luck for the future mate

Tom, a couple of points; football is not like any other business I know of! I think you could be right about the Derby, if utd had stuffed us it would have made it a lot easier from a PR point of view to sack Megson, but like you I suspect his fate was sealed at Chezzy.

I agree Mike, football is now run as a business instead of as a sport. But like you say, I can't think of one run in a similar manner.
In all my time of watching Wednesday this is possibly the most baffling decision I've known and will serve no other purpose than to potentially derail a promotion charge.
We had virtually no chance of second spot even after winning on Sunday but now it's disappeared altogether.
The new bloke is in a lose lose situation because the fand will want us to go up for Megson and not him.
It's going to be one strange atmosphere in that Rochdale away end.
